@MrTrajan69 Throwing aside communism's flaws, these countries need to have parades to show their power and keep the people under control. It is tyranny. It instills fear. That's the point. The people didn't love the government, but they feared enough to obey. Furthermore, this occurred during WWII. The people needed assurance that the army was strong enough to defeat the Nazis. I'm not arguing with you. Just remember that these countries have their reasons, even if you don't agree with them.
