u need a wifi adapter to connect to the wii shop channel and the internet channel but thats all u need or at least thats all i needed....

ive tried a usb from the modem directly to the wii. it didnt work though. u need an adapter. i have no idea how much they r, but u plug in the Ethernet cable into the modem, to the adapter, then u plug the adapter into the wii via usb. u can also have wifi, but u need a wireless modem for that. duh :/

you buy some wiipoints, and then you download it to your wii console, from the same place you buy the virtual games from, which i think is the wiishop channel. (not to sure as i havent got my wii yet, you can find out by browsing through some videos on youtube :D )

you don't need to buy a keyboard. there are two usb ports in the back of the wii. just get a regular keyboard and plug it in.

Hmm I have one. My Wii's internet will go on some times and shut down others. This is because I'm using the internet from the people upstairs. But I doubt they shut off the internet very often (I hear them online even when my Wii's internet stops working) so why does my internet keep d/c?

Well ZorakXSlayer it seems like your using there wireless internet right? So since there router is upstairs their signal is weakend by their surroundings. And when your on the internet channel the internet signal seems to time out due to the lack of how strong the wireless signal is. Try moving your wii somewhere else to see if you can get a stronger signal. :)
