  • absolutely right!

  • How about a headline "Mail fucks up World cup bid, now Johnny Foreigner gets it"

  • whats the music?

  • @9toStryfe

    Sounds like Boards of Canada

  • @sekopaa3 Yep, well spotted. It's Boards Of Canada - Open The Light (from "Music Has The Right To Children").

Monkey Dust really benefited from excellent music sourcing. The atmosphere created was spot-on, 100% of the time.

A shame some tracks had to be replaced on the commercial DVD of series 1, but it's not actually all that noticeable.

  • @Jarren202

I've noticed a lot of BoC in shows. Is it public domain for them, or does BoC just get used for its ambience? Hm.

  • @sekopaa3 Good question. As far as I recall, the BBC can use any music they like because their broadcasts are non-profit. Obviously once they release DVDs of their shows it becomes for profit, so they have to ask permission and pay for the music included.

I think BoC are used to such an extent because they really do fit the ambience of the show. Other bands are featured heavily for the same reason; Goldfrapp (their first album), AIR, Black Box Recorder etc.

  • What an amazing photorealistic image of Paul Dacre

  • @matrix4022 Either you're being Ironic or you're beyond hope.

  • That's the Boards of Canada music used in there as well

  • LOL 'Beckham gets up in the morning'

Daily Mail is the biggest crock of shit you'll ever see.

  • Ah, the Daily Mail! My favourite newspaper! Soft, strong and thoroughly absorbent!

  • Nice BlackAdder goes Fourth quote there!

I always prefer to use a copy of King and Country myself!

  • Thank you.

I understand. Both are just as convincing as Dr Crippen's defence lawyer!

OK, I'm going to have to stop myself there.

  • Excellent work

  • That DOES explain everything...

  • I remeber when this thing was on a read an article which held it up as an example and said "why does modern humour have to be so dark?" Intelligent humour always gets the jack boot

  • Genius.

  • It's all so fucking true! They talk nothing but shit. Awesome sketch, awesome series.

  • Genius. I never thought it would be that spot on.

  • fairly accurate.

  • You're thinking of the Daily Express

  • True, although this was made long before the "crunch"

  • Well we all new that the editor was turd, that just sums it up really and honestly Paedo Asylum Seekers Swamp Britain sounds just like one of there headlines

  • That is SO spot on that its painful to watch.

  • lol, my favourite bits are all the headlines - i'm pretty sure at least one of those was a real mail headline at some point!
