I really love it too much. Vivent King Selewa and his Calypsonians.
BRAVO !!!
My hips are swaying as I type and listen and watch your video, mistou! A very peaceful and calming sound, indeed. I think this music could do wonder's here in the States!! My best to you and Terry, with many stars and hugs ...
Merci Mistou68 King Selewa has some bon vibez in his chunes! Salsa has been recycled in Senegal,Reggae in Ghana,Nigeria Cote Ivoire,Senegal,Guyana &Trinidad.Hiphop in Mali,Senegal,Kenya,Angola,et Brasil.
Jamaicans to Gambia et Sud Afrique,Cubans et Brasilians to Nigeria,U.S. folks to Ghana,Sud Afrique, et Cameroon,Haitians to Mali et French Guiana. People & musique have been moving around before the internet.
Trinis like to think that it's not calypso unless it's made in Trinidad. This is a reminder that calypso has roots in Africa. And I remember on a visit to Accra in 1997 being told that there were a bunch of Trinis who contributed to West African High Life music. So when it comes to music, we are listening to echoes of echoes, an ongoing musical conversation down the ages. Echoes of rumba, merengue, mambo, cadence etc. in calypso, and all vice versa. So this continues the conversation. I like it.
terrific....brilliant
