  • Just shows you, we on this earth for such a short time, all the soldiers who drove these tanks are now with God

  • Seeing these relics, you begin to realize the stupidity of man....

  • Shame, these belong in museums, or at least driving in someone's collection. It's a pitty they're just rusting away, and being gutted for their steel.

  • whoever the fuck this valko bg is, i hope they die a painful death for their incessant tagging

  • This is why you should always ask for a Carfax. The dealer tells you it was owned by the widow of an SS Sturmbannfuhrer who only drove it to party rallies on Sundays, and then after you get it home you find out it was buried in Bulgaria for the last 50 years and they rolled the odometer back.

  • It looks like they used those tanks to form a defensive artillery line, like the Maginot line in france. Posibly they could not keep the tanks running for a lack in spare pieces. Instead they tried to use them as simple artillery pieces.

  • hope they try to restore some

  • I hope they offered the Panzer IV's to the restoration community before they decide to chop them up and sell them for scrap value which would be peanuts.A good hull and turret would fetch a very high price indeed.

  • hello

  • I coud see a nice transmission.

  • Now that is what you call landlocked xD

  • The time will come, when german tanks roll again!

  • I would like to ask you if you sell helmets and other objects of the second world war are. My email is: artanmayr@yahoo.it

  • What is the name of this song? It's awesome.

  • @jquill23 The song is 'Ernie' by Fat Freddy's Drop, a band from Wellington, New Zealand. This was from the number one selling album of 2005 (in New Zealand!) 'Based on a True Story' Very smooth!

  • @tekboyg they are awesome!

  • @jquill23 Fat Freddy's Drop - Ernie (you're welcome)

  • Any idea what they are going to do those tanks? It would be sad to see those tanks rust away or be melted down for some other BS. They could at least salvage what party they can for other tanks that are being restored, or combine what parts that they have to make at least one working tank wiht some spare parts.

  • FUCK YES

knowing how i am i would probably have a friend dig one up, plus replacement parts, and send it to the states for me....

That would be a funny thing to store in the lot by my house

    XD

  • Interesting.

  • I assume they sorted them by ammunition required first. It would be quite a headache to supply otherwise.

  • I bet any scrap dealer who has cut one of those up for the metal is kicking himself. WW2 armour in any condition sells for mega bucks!

  • soso bin aus hamburg

  • Weren't these auctioned off in May of 2011, or it may have been May 2010. I remember seeing something about that. I believe the starting price was £100,000. I also remember that a leading military figure got busted for assisting in the smuggling of old German AFV's similar to these to some Russian dealers/Collectors. I'm pretty sure these tanks were used to guard along the line separating Bulgaria/Turkey after WW2 and were in use up to the 80's. Brilliant upload, thanks for sharing it

  • 4:54 What's This?! Panzer IV witch su-76 cannon?!?!

  • Music is Fat Freddys Drop. A New Zealand band , awsome a!

  • what song is this?

  • I guess the Bulgarians never heard or learned of the "Maginot Line." This type of defense doesn't work.

  • @Mainsail76 They shurely heard of it, but they had a much more effective strategy: they simply changed the sides 7 mths before the end of war& joined the allied forces. Simply as that..

  • Comment removed

  • @Mainsail76 Our defensive line was during the Cold War and the tanks that were put in it were old PZ III/IV and T-34 85. Our main battle tanks were of course not positionned there, although in case of a Turkish attack, most likely we were going to loose. Even the Russians might have trouble stopping the Turks, they are very good.

  • panzer 4 theres a few left in the world.

  • Not shame......These things will be used as a reminders for the new generation,so that they have an idea and lesson so that it will not happen again in the future...better preserve this, because the new generation will love to watch this german engineered tanks ..

  • Shame These Things Go to waste To Decay and Fall Apart What if the new Generation is Curious about Tanks Of WWII

  • The German BND is the renamed 3rd Reich GESTAPO.The BND had organized the delegate Scheuermann of our county to visit or home.To allow him to personally experience how my brother and our patents had been tortured. The BND continued to torture my brother. He was assassinated on July 11th2009.Half a year after the assassination of my brother the CDU delegate Mappus from our district town Pforzheim was made prime minister of the German land of Baden Würtemberg

The CDU is the ruling party in Germany

  • Panzer IV?

  • so, these things sank in the mud or were buried on purpose as fixed gun turrets in a defensive line?

  • @CanadianReich probably a lot to do with erosion over the past 60+ years I would imagine

  • @Plowboy68 that and they are like 55 tones and it looks muddy.... but idk

  • @CanadianReich They were used as fixed gun turrets in a defensive line. they had engines off,but still operative firing.

  • @yutufyoursel I wonder if they did what the russians did, had holes the tanks would sit in (lower their profile) so they were like fixed turrets but they could drive up a ramp and out on a moment's notice to go on the offensive. Pretty smart those Russians

  • @CanadianReich yeah, how did that strategity work for Saddam in the the first gulf war ? probably using the same advise from the "smart Russians" ................. :)

  • @inkmanmac I'm sure that crew training, tank quality, air supremicy etc had some role to play there

  • @CanadianReich i am sure it did, but the over all idea of burying tanks (which goes against the very idea what they were designed for) in earthen mounds makes absolutely no sense.......

  • @inkmanmac I agree...unless of course your tank is busted but the turret still works. I heard that many front line german tanks in this area stopped working..... some due to cold, some due to parts, but the turret could likely still fire no? If moving I still like the Russian's idea. Hide in ambush, get a few shots off, then drive out. It wasnt burried but rather you drive down a ramp so the profile of the tank is nominal- the enemy cant hit you but you can hit them.

  • we had 6 Maybah at the turkish border duged in.2 of them got stolen,no one knows how.now the rest got stored and i hope allso they get restored beause it shame not to save them, but nothing is for sure over here, toomany corrupt govermen pigs that only try to do good for them fuckin selfs, that is the sad truth my friends.fag with no respect for the history.

  • i really love this machines, this German engineered panzer tanks is a masterpiece ,,this relics are part of human history..better put this all to museum..i know everybody will love to watch this precious machines..

  • Such a waste of history... Those tanks could be restored and would look great in museum.

  • i thinks the engines are still running if they get ab bit of petrol =D

  • man that is awesome! i really hope they didnt just scrap all of them, quite a few were in restorable shape, the STUG III (i think it was a III) and Jagdpanzer were in especially remarkable shape. not much in the interior remaining but you dont see that very often in a museum anyway. pretty amazing, awesome video!

  • at 22 seconds i think thats an early production Soviet T34, or at least just a T34 turret. the front dosent match a T34 turret, but the rest seems pretty close....strange. will have to do some looking into that.

  • They were buried after the war. To form a bunker defense grid facing the Turkish border.

  • Were those tanks partially burried on purpose? During the war? Maybe it's a dumb question.

  • My bad and I stand corrected. Still want it though. Thanks for pointing my error.

  • I would love to have that Hetzer at 5:14

  • @CannibalCarp this is no a Hetzer, but a Jagdpanther IV !!

  • Why are some of them buried up to the turret? Is the wind strong like in desert?

Or somebody dug a hole around them?

  • @billbitt96

Neither. If they just left the tank sitting on the ground it would present a bigger target. They likely dug the hole and then drove the tank in, then took off the tracks, drive wheels, bogeys, etc. since they didn't need to move. Being dug in ("hull down") gives more protection to the crew, and only leaves some of the thickest armour on the tank for the enemy to aim at.

  • How did valko-bg get stuck down in that cement basement?

  • All that scrap iron, worth a fortune today.

  • Fat Freddys Drop -nice one!

  • This is just sad. Seeing those poor war machines decay and die. I would have them recovered and taken to a tank restorer to get them refitted and reused.

  • Lots of Panzer 4s. Pzkpfw IV of all models.

  • its the toys of my daddy which he played with at the eastern front.

He did not really like that game.

  • I want one!!!

  • these are the fantastic pillbox panther turrets!!

  • i want to have that panzerIV ausf g :))

  • That is a sad way to end their lifes as war machines.

  • This is cool. Kinda spooky too.

  • whats the music btw?

  • those things would make a good shelter for a camping trip

  • One wonders if the Royal Tank Museum knows about this.

  • you know, alot of these hulks still have the engines and gear boxes in them, the ones that are dug in, the hull and suspentions are probly untouched except probly by rust. these would be actually fairly easy to restore compared to most. A sandblaster, welder, grinder, paint gun, heavy lift, and an imagination and some fabrication skills and mechanical insight, probly a team could get it running in a few years. biggest problem would be parts.

  • you can pull them out with an tractor

  • did the germans dig them in like that and they were left there after a battle pr did they just sink in the mud

  • @speed150mph

They were dug in, damaged during a batlle, abandoned and forgotten.

  • wondered what happened to all those hulls, there they are!

  • Okay Now,,,,We Want One , My Kida Need A Better Play Ground Set.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nice Find WOW!

  • now i know where i can get my very own panzer !!! yeah ! xD

  • Interesting how they used them for bunkers like that. Too bad it looks like theirs not much left to restore. Probably some good parts here and there though.

  • It would be nice to look at all the pictures with out the giant 'VALKO-BG' letters in front of what we want to look at. What idiots!

  • BRING OUR STEEL BACK HOME !!!! :-D

  • @derernsti Sorry but this steel is property of United States, England and Russia.

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT No it is not... they are the property of Bulgaria... most these tanks had been sold to them after the war. That's like saying my 1944 Jeep imported from California is owned by the US even though it is mine and its in the UK...

  • @hetsar I know...just kidding about spoils of war and victors claiming everything. No worries. I wish I could afford to restore one these tanks. I made several models of them when I was a kid and they were always my favorite. Not sure if you have seen the video of tanks found in a swamp fully covered by mud. They pulled one out washed it and with a little bit of work had the turret and gun movable in a short time. Well preserved.

  • Sad to see them just left to rust up like that. At least some of them should be taken care of and restored for museum.

  • With scrap metal prices at an all-time high, even these wrecks would be worth a fortune!

  • maybe they could salvage what they can form the tanks and make one complete tank?

  • any Tiger tanks there?

  • kick ass lots of panzers and some russian too i wisj i was ther to help sad that most of the drive gears were gone already fuckin scrappers bet you could build a few complete ones out of all them

  • Bulgaria, be wise, stay out of fascist NATO... highly unlikely, as your whole current government would fall.....

  • do you know how jealous i get when i see someting like that and im not there?

  • i would dig them out one by one with my bare hands. I DO mean it seriusly

  • i would buy these tank doesnt matter how they look. What do they do with them? i hope they get restored and in get in a museum

  • @Tokatt i hope they stay in the nature, much cooler than in a museum

  • @craik62 but nature will rust them :-( true though some look nice in bature but i prefer them to be saved

  • @craik62 then they'll be all but gone before im dead.

  • @Tokatt Why a museum? Museums are full of it. And transporting and restorating all those tanks and other vehicles is very expensive. Thats why most of these stuff still lies there. Its not unique anymore, there are thousands of those tanks .

  • @bordkrijt I do think it's important to preserve, rather than forget our history though. So, if possible, as many of these as possible should be preserved. The actual objects and locations involved in history make far more of an impact on future generations than reading about it in a book ever could. "This was used to kill people"- that thought really makes it real for people. If not, I think they could at least be used to recycle the steel!

  • @Tokatt They should leave them there, this is visible history.

  • @Tokatt This tank was used for protection. Tanks are localized on our south border with Turkey

  • @Anachronos1 are some of them still there ?

  • @Tokatt

They were positioned by the Communist government to the border points as military positions. Than they were forgotten.

The good news are, that they now are gathered and retstored!

  • @Tokatt they are probably going to melt the steel and make some gay statue :(

  • @mememojo what if it was a statue of a tank? that'd be kinda cool

  • Come se da Panzas mon!!!!!.........now let blaze on da turet......lot a mercy

(Actual comment from real Rastafarian ha ha ha enjoy )

  • So basically they buried the hull, and only used the turrets? thats kinda cool....

  • @RaptorDiablo Makes it harder to hit the tank and the turret is usually the most armored piece of the machine.

It is indeed cool but it's also somewhat funny, since the tank is made to be a turret that walks around and then they simply "downgrade" them back to a stationary turret lol.

  • WHY ISN'T THIS BEING RESTORED?

  • Deutsche Wertarbeit!

  • valko-bg for president of all panzer relics in bulgaria

  • Could have done with a bit more valko-bg.

  • @icaruss88

In Poland exist StuG IV in running conditions.

  • Amazing!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • @icarus88 thanks for your comments, I have seen a video of the working king tiger, amazing old machinery and it still works! You should definitely visit the bovington museum if you can! They have one of the best collections in the world

  • Wow, here in England we have one of the only 2 or 3 working german tiger tanks in the world! Engineers at bovington museum fully rebuilt it with the help of an ex panzer mk5 driver! I have seen it and it's awesome!

  • @SuperStormtroop

Only exist one Tiger 1 in running conditions in all world , Bovington example ,

Only exist one Tiger 2 in running conditions in all world , Samur example in France ,

  • @SuperStormtroop

In Germany one Panther uses one MTU modern diesel Engine "Munster Example"

Many Panthers survive in French Army service and Britain investigation test , some Panzers 3 and 4 survived in Turkish , Spanish , Swiss , Bulgarian , Czech , Hungarian , Finland , French , some armies uses this tanks for one short time and many were used like targets in the end , but Panzer 4 are the most used in postwar , the last Pz4 "Syrian" fight in Golan Height vs Centurions and Shermans of IDF

  • The Last Panzer 4 in one real Combat was used by Syrians vs Israel.

but exist many running Panzer 4 in world , the last restoration of one in bovington are for Jordanian Museum ,

one private collector in UK pretend install one AFV motor in one Panzer IV

Search "Surviving Panzers" on web , one PDF text of all type of Panzer and Halftracks , sorry 4 my bad english.

  • @darkwonder80 Reading the description right underneath the video will often explain a lot.

  • @nagmashdriver yes i know posted after reading the des.

  • @darkwonder80 read the discription, they were part of a fortified line of buried tanks like improvised pillboxs.

  • @mrgoodvibrations been told over 100 times already.

  • 6:50 now thats a cowboy who's serious about protecting his cows .

  • Yo, the pic at 0.24 is a T-34 or something, a Russian tank, not a German tank. ;)

  • HOLY CRAP 5:59 ITS A JAGDPANTHER GET IT OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @simplejack64 Look again...it's a Panzer IV 70/V. There aren't any Jagdpanthers in this montage.

  • @simplejack64

    Jagdpanzer IV/48 not V (Jagdpanther)

The gun here is a L48. The Jagdpanther got a L71. Also lock at the flat part under the gun barrel it is a Panzer IV cassis.

  • HOLY SHIT 5:59 ITS A JAGDPANTHER GET IT OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT 5:59 ITS A JAGDPANTHER GET IT OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are these able to be bought?

  • Scrap metal hunters AKA gypsies :/

  • Na złom z tym złomem.

  • The JagPanzers are Extremly rair.

  • lots of MKIVs and sturmgeschutze III ,in working order worth millions

  • there are many enthusiasts now who restore the machines to thier former glory....some of these could be brought back to life

  • Nice little treasure you have there...was always wondering where all those wonderful German tanks which had been left behind in the east or after the war had disappeared to.... Opa aufsitzen! (-;

  • i presume some of the german tanks have been recovered for preservation?

  • Got any 60mm cannon barrels you don't want? Good ones only rusty pipes no good.Contact via Youtube.

  • No Tigers though !! Dammit !!

  • @turboslag

Bulgarian army use 88 panzers IV some Stugs and Panzerjagers even in postwar service , the Tigers in postwar were used to made new armor in T54/55 lines on rusia and Centurions in occidental lines.

other were melted to made trains , cars , ships....

  • lol can people can stop complaining about scrap metal hunters, if the armys of ww2 didnt want their tanks being cut up and sold for scrap they wouldnt have left them there, i joke, and besides there is surviving, fully restored relics of just about every vehicle from just about every war, you cant restore every single tank ever made

  • 6:08 is a t34 not a gerrman

  • @davvvvo a t34 is a russian tank

  • Some of them appear to have been dug into the earth. The Syrians did the same in the Golan heights. No doubt to face a Turkish threat.

  • very interesting

  • SCRAP METAL HUNTERS TOOK THE PICES OF THE GREATEST WAR MACHINE OF THEIR TIME?!

  • @redgear3

This how many members of the Roma (Gypsy) minority in Bulgaria make a living.

  • thumbs down to valko-bg for ruining the pics with his big fat signature

  • they are restoring them right now and preparing them for the Bulgarian Historic-War Museum

  • ohhhh damn i will look in this Area wit my Metaldetector....but nice the Panzer III, PZ IV, STUGIII &IV, Jagdpanzer IV....very nice.....pls where is it in Bulgaria?

  • @Falke40lg On the Turkish Boarder, pay attention. lol.

  • @Pinkfacedmonkey02

You think it is to defend against the Turks ...? HaHaHa

  • @Falke40lg Hi. It was for defending against the Turks. Turkey had the 2nd biggest army in NATO and it was a big problem for us. That's why we had 5000 tanks and we put old German tanks and T-34 in the boarder.

But I am not sure if those tanks are able to penetrare their armour, otherwise we would of have counted on our T-55s and T-72s only.

  • @xxpoonednoobxx

Hm, you meen in the cold war in the 50ths or 60ths it was for defend?

    Not to defend modern armee!

  • @Falke40lg

Genius even the Soviet Union use the old IS 3 as defence line in borders with China , Kuril islands and Austria use the old M47 as static points and are only one last mode to use one TURRET with one Gun , not one superfortress line , Daaaa Daaaaa Daaaaaa

  • Stupid not to restore all these beautys..

  • it would be very nice if they would restore it..and if they would make a museum

  • Those a German WW2 tanks

    1. Panzer III

    2. T34

    3. Panzer IV

    4. Stug III

  • @ShadowNick5

    The T-34 is Russian.

  • @TheUltimateAddict Ya but forgot about that :D

  • man that jagdpanzer 4 liiks pretty intact roadwheels, tracks and all

  • @SSBlackAngel

Yes it loks so good after 67 Years.

  • where is it? i wanna see these tanks.. im german and im interested in german tanks..

  • @TheRedSkin2009 They are located in Bulgaria, along the Bulgaro-Turkish frontier. Most of them you can only see the turret.

  • You know there are alot of parts there? They could take the good stuff and I bet with the proper info they could build a few examples with all those parts! I'm curious, which way were the guns facing, towards what country?

  • nice video!

  • what is the steelprice this days, 1 dollar pr.ton lol

  • I didn't know they buried tanks like that?. Good idea though.
