Yes, the rocket is over stable, but I also tipped the launch pad away from the spectators so the 6 lb rocket would not land on or over the heads of everyone. The effect was a very low altitude flight, so both parachutes came out at the same time. Next month, Oct 9th, 2010, I am going to launch the same rocket with 3 larger motors and not tip the launch pad.
