  • Nothing like Audrey and Joyce, they made the show too

  • miodowe lata lepsze :D

  • Audrey Meadows' "Alice" could kick this Alice's ass...

  • When he see's her in the window in the B&W one Im expecting "what are you doing out there? never mind that, what are YOU doing in THERE? Boy if theres one thing I cant stand is a sneak. What did you sayyyy? (Norton) He said if theres one thing he cant stand is a sneak....and you stay out of this. good to see color here though. thank you.

  • Very disappointing w/o Audrey and Joyce. Forget it, I'm gonna watch the REAL Honeymooners, even if I've seen them all 2, 3 4, times. Better than fake Honeymooners.

  • Oops! I mean Joyce Randolph

  • Ms. Keane puts over that 'Blue Max" line beautifully.

  • Thanks for posting these...I remember these from when I was a very small kid...even before I'd seen the B&Ws!!!

  • this is the frist time i am seeing this and i must say Wow!! i don't know how you find it but thank you for posting it up on you tube

  • It's just not the HoneyMooners. APOLGIES to the new crww, but....

  • Jackie wanted Audrey to do the color episodes. But at that time Audrey was married to Bob Six, who was the Chairman of Continental Airlines and in the mid 60's Continental didn't fly to Miami. In fact Continental didn't fly west of Chicago. When Miami was added to Continental's schedule in the mid 70's, Gleason was already cancelled.

  • Even though the Original is the best , I still love the Cast. And I'd take this show over Any of the Crap that's on TV now. Honeymooners forever!

  • Classic Gleason expression at 5:07

  • Gleason on the colorized Honeymooners episode: "Now you'll see if Ralph has baby blue eyes or not"

    Show them baby blues Ralph!

Can't say much for the "new" Alice and Trixie. Gleason and Carney still hit it dead on!

  • What year were these done?

  • you are on the computer look it up yourself

  • @level242 you sir are a Blabbermouth!!!

  • I suppose Audrey and Joyce didn't like the idea and may have looked too aged or dumpy to play it again. Art and Jackie still get away with it, as men can. They look great here. I remember these new ones and didn't care for them. Gave it a good try though.

  • The original is always the best. Gleason knew it, and these had a short shelf life!

  • they never did show ralphs bedroom! lol lol

  • THERE WILL NEVER, EVER BE ANOTHER JACKIEGLEASON/ART CARNEY AGAIN. THEY WERE THE LAST OF THE TRULY FUNNY COMEDY DUO.

  • This was when TV was TV! Bring stuff like this back!!!!!!

  • The only thing I like about the color mooners, is it shows what Ed, Ralph, and the apartment look like in color. I don't care for the newer Alice and Trixie.

  • I think the difference is also being in color. It makes it too "real" if that makes sense. When in B/W it seemed more like peeking in on a simple couple in NYC, in color seems more like a television play. Still wonderful, however!! thanks for putting this on here!!

  • these were ok

  • King of Queens was based off this show

  • thanks for putting this up ! well done...

  • I like the Honeymooners but it kinda gets old when they have to do remakes of episodes from the 50s.

  • @RTD8481 never gets old

  • @TheHAMMER77777

Theyre trying their best to be funny, but trying to recapture that original magic is just impossible. Nothing could recapture that original magic of the Honeymooners.

  • @RTD8481 i Know buddy...they should have convinced the 2 ladies to go to Miami- oh well its not bad though

  • Jackie Gleason and Art Carney are a great comedy Team. RIP!

  • @Crazymike1975 wow he ran out of ideas he done the box top scam when they was younger in the original cast of the honeymooners in blk n white lol i never did see them in this color version..i guess ed dumped the original trixie i dont like this one lol

  • What year does this take place?

  • This is basically a remake of 'Box Top Kid' from The Lost Episodes.

  • i'd like to be in Miami beach tonight, im so ready for summer

  • lmao 5:08...these were classics though i am more familiar with the black and white episodes..grew up watching them with my parents..great show

    joanie

  • @fallchild81

yea your right but at my age i see what you mean but still just the same he was one of great one's if not the best ! and in real life he was a great pool player to boot as he would put it...

  • wonder why they didn't use the original alice and trixie in the color episodes?

  • The new show was filmed in Miami and the actresses didn't want to relocate there, so new actresses were cast.

  • These shows were in the top 5 for most of the 1966-70 run...much higher than the original 39 which were a disappointment in the ratings (#19) when they were broadcast in 1955-56. The different staging, color tape vs B&W film, and need to fill a full hour with musical numbers make these shows really a different animal. But the Gleason/Carney chemistry was still gold.

  • It's just like one of the original 39.

  • Wow, Jackie and Art really got older. The camera also panned so far back that it showed the ending of the carpet and

where the stage begins. There was also a bit of an echo. Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a big complainer.

Still nobody can ever do the "eyeball thing" like Jackie culd. Thanks for this.

  • These episodes were done on a stage in Miami - they are really more like taped stage shows. The new actresses weren't as good as the ones from the 50s, and color videotape wasn't kind to the two stars. These are fun from an historical standpoint, but they pale in comparison to the 50s shows.

  • Oh, absolutely.

Thse shows are nothing like the episodes from the 50s.

The greatest team was Jackie, Art, Audrey, and Joyce.

  • @tunapup12 I was born in 1957, so I saw these episodes on television before I saw the black & white ones from the 1950's. It is good to see them again.

  • @mindspring57 So was I.I remember these episodes before I even saw ANY of the 1950s episodes...Both versions of the Honeymooners were great.

  • @tunapup12 yeah thats true, but these episodes were still good.

  • the good old classics....but in color

  • this is great!

    thank you for posting this.
