From more than 15 years we hardly had 1 to 2 good bowlers in the Indian team and many times no effective bowler playing against the opposition team and we never had 4 to 5 quality bowlers. so most of the out of form batsmen get a golden opportunity to return into form against India and score big. Ponting did exactly like that. So it does not mean he can still score big against S.A. and Pakistan and probably even against Eng. His best time has passed.

I think Srinath was the most improved fast bowler I have seen so far (much like Imran Khan). He started off as a pedestrian medium pacer, but developed into a genuine strike bowler with a beautiful action. I have a very high regard for his bowling. He seemed to be a nice person too.
