When the show was aired it was during the Roe v. Wade era when abortion was a touchy subject. While I oppose abortion, today the topic can be approached more peacefully, in most cases.

Face it--women have the power of life and death until the baby is born. It comes with the territory of being female and undergoing the responsibilities and risks of pregnancy and labor. If a woman doesn't want to carry a pregnancy to term, she has NO moral obligation to have the baby. It's not a child. It's part of her own body and it's completely her free choice. End of story.

I remember this episode when I was a young girl growing up. Back in the 70's when Roe vs. Wade was passed a lot was unknown about what was going on in the uterus. We now know more such as brain waves, a beating heart and the development of this child. Even surgery can be performed on an unborn child. We need to make abortion illegal again to protect the lives of these children and their constitutional right to life, liberty, and persuit of happiness.
