My name is Allan Hotlen. I wrote the lyrics to "Let Me Into Your Life." (The brilliant Peter DeAngelis wrote the music.) I was thrilled when Engelbert recorded it (in 1968!?!) and thrilled when he sang it twice on worldwide television. But seeing THIS video . . . posted on YouTube . . . was even more gratifying.

Engelbert still hasn't gotten the words quite right (in the chorus.) But I'm so grateful that he's still singing "my" song so beautifully. Thank you, Engelbert.

@allietheh Thank You for writing such a beautiful song. This is my favorite one of all the songs he sings, and there are many. But these lyrics, oh my touched my heart! I had requested that he sing this on his legacy of love tour. When I went to concert and I heard he included this gem, my heart just soared. Wonderful lyrics, just wonderful,
