@GarenDJ Mister DJ, he arranged the drum track - but not the synth or bass, and he's launching clips and playing with effects parameters, just like a DJ would.

He's 11. Give me a break. i bet he can do better than most of you. It's not like the title says kid prodigy or best dnb, it just says improv. It ain't half bad compared to a lot of you.

@DjDanshan dud the kid is 11 give him a break shit what were you doing at 11? playing with yourself and running around the streets? at least this kid has passion and an idea
@DjDanshan this song def isnt garbage, but i of course expect most of it to be samples... im sure this kid blows the doors off of what you knew when you were 11, you probably didnt even listen to edm then.
This is excellent. As soon as possible ;get this little guy into a drum map page with a basic palate of samples so he can move the beats around and absorb their individual function. He WILL find something that GROOVES proper that he can call his own. I salute you young sir.
Shut up trolls. You may be older than this boy but can't do half of shit he's doin' and he's doin' it propa. I challenge you all to show your skills if you have some... asides from trolling. I'd be proud to have kid like him.

@strrrangemen Who cares what anyone thinks.... This kids is really Great.. And I must say I have Ableton and it is NOT an easy program to learn.. You should get him into Reason 4 or 5 or perhaps Fl Studio 10. I think Reason 4 might be better for him. He can learn more about patches and how to wire.
Keep him going!!!!!! seriously!! Send me more please.
kids learn very fast, just show them something, they will do it. it´s much harder to me now to learn something about my instrument, than it was 15 years ago
@AidanFirmLegend thats bc ur a no0b. this is like 4 tracks.. with 2 lowpass filters.. after clicking and dragging 4 tracks he didnt make (from mixcraft) into ableton.. thats a total of like 8 more clicks and your done.. this set up is like a 5 min deal..
@cfchickey yeah you are right. the music is added over the top because it was recorded live via ableton live and not the camera's input so it was then overlapped on windows movie maker (the old one that sucks even more).
@cfchickey Yes sir, a "resampling" track (if you're familiar with ableton live) recorded the whole output then it was added on top of the video because the mic on the camera did suck. I had no other way as the soundcard outputs only one stereo channel. Call it fake if you wish to
@tillzzyy you may be less genetically gifted for this kind of stuff but trust me if I say that given enough time and work (which i just call passion) you can achieve far better results
@tillzzyy he's right, just invest an obscene amount of time into it, and u'll learn and develope. electronic music production has a really steep learning curve, so be patient ;)

@DjViOd Hehe i'm doing good ^^ , i'm not 11 anymore , more 14 but i still would like to make more videos of DnB , if I could ^^" My bro now has an appartment so i cant just go in his room and ask him if I can try DnB

at the time this was recorded, Time Exile didn't release his "Finger" for Reaktor.
Though i myself played with clones of his "live mashup reaktor patch" i gave my brother here a row of "Glitch" effects (VST by Illformed) . i think one was put in full random mode. though it's better to either put 5 Glitch vsts in a row with each one doing a specific effect and making your pads toggle the on/off button of each. or buy The Finger, by Tim Exile .
@strrrangemen and i forgot about this one, a foot pedal was plugged into the edirol pcr 300 which also toggle a glitch effect. (this was useless but fun at the time we had the idea - but not very 'spectacular')
@tehpeasant try listening to any drum pattern with a slow tempo or recreating one with a slow tempo then put it back up. that's how i learned cause my brain was too slow to get what was going on in the amen break for example, listen to only the hi hats, the bass and snare drum, once you get used to it you'll get it just fine then you will be able to play with the sequence and get exactly what you need. here's my quick tip. good luck.
Maybe you've got it by now but just listen for the pattern. Doof, chi... Doof, chi, Doof, Doof, chi ... Doof, chi... Sorry if my theory speak is too complex, Hahaha! Jungle is pretty similar. Then you can add the high hats and other stuff in but the punchy kick and the high snare are the basis for it.

@Mixikyr Hello Mixikyr, no i didn't blur anything on purpose, yes i was playing with the lens while filming but there was no actual reason for this other than not having a monotonous static shot on a tripod

@minusjason ok. The bassline are loops, cause he can't compose music yet, he was more of a gamer than a musician so he never took the time for this. For the beat, he took some loops, chopped them up with Drumrack (if that's the name) then recreated patterns to make his own loop but there's no magic there either. @gangbang108 what does that mean? that boy needs therapy! i just wanna kill you! that that th- that boy needs therapy !!!
avalanche is above, buisness continues below! sometimes a parrot talk. i just wanna kill you on the count of three and he also made false teeth wooooaahhh wooooaaahh. right. randy random 4 8 15 16 23 42 . do you want a cup of tea or shall we pick a pocket or two?
yeah!he´s cool! my son is 6 years old and he´s playing around with my mpc 1000...he always practices to play drums!it´s fun to make music with these small men!
@OllyGreen1 i got a sample pack from internet, and he used some of those for the bass. so i don't actually know what software they are from. hahaha who said it wasn't loops, the drum loop is a cut of a sample loop he rearranged himself in ableton live. this must be the shit you say it is. i haven't stated otherwise; So lower your expectations for this kind of video. he couldn't build a melody all by himself this fast. Thank you for such constructive criticism.

Good job little man. My little bro makes beats too, he's 11 too. Sadly I dont have all the gear that you have, but we still 'kick out the jams'.
Respect.

all techno is is loops in general. but as far as the beat goes itself its bad ass
strgzr53 1 year ago
Sounds like a mixcraft loop to me. I do appreciate young interest in DnB but.
He didn't move his body for the whole set. You gotta feel the music.

its a loop of mixcraft hahahaha
OllyGreen1 1 year ago
@OllyGreen1 i got a sample pack from internet, and he used some of those for the bass. so i don't actually know what software they are from. hahaha who said it wasn't loops, the drum loop is a cut of a sample loop he rearranged himself in ableton live. this must be the shit you say it is. i haven't stated otherwise; So lower your expectations for this kind of video. he couldn't build a melody all by himself this fast. Thank you for such constructive criticism.
