Oh my God! There are some seriously pretentious people on here whining about this effing bird. I loved this video because the bird is beautiful and it had a happy ending. Realistically the bird was going to choke to death if the guy didn't realize he had something on the line. Forgive him for having a little fun with the bird. It obviously did okay.

You did the right thing by getting the hook out. A lot of people might just cut the line to keep from having to tussle with an angry gull or tern. It's always the best thing to get the hook out, then let it go. Wether you feed it lunch or not is a personal preference.

How can you dislike this :) Dads and kids fishing and laughing and learning about nature. They only handled the bird for educational purposes and seemed gentle and respectful to it. Looks like a fun trip :)

I'm glad the bird was okay, but you really coulda been gentler with the poor thing, just tossing it on the floor of the boat after it had endured the trauma of having something stuck in it's throat wasn't a very kind thing to do. I know for the average person "it's just a stupid bird", but it was obviously terrified :( Stress alone can kill an animal if the shock is heavy enough. Still though, I'm glad it had a happy ending. It was cute how it kept trying to bite you but then ate the fish, haha.

i do the same thing in my boat! i got these rubber mullet baits i use for kobe when i spot fish about every time i throw the thing a seagull comes in and takes it. Those mullet cost about 4 dollars a bait so i gota bring him in and take it back. subscribe to me and ill subscribe to you but i already did.
