People can help to cure stutterers but a lot of the help needs to come from the stutterer themselves too. I used to stutter bad but ive almost completely cured myself. Watching this brought back horrible memories cos I suffered as bad as this guy sometimes. The only advice I can give is to try to mirror other peoples body language and how they speak. Don't focus on the words coming from your lips, but rather the power of your words. Make them come from within and ALWAYS try to breathe and relax

You can get a computer program free and use a headset and mic. I have started to use it, not sure how effective but they say once you remove the device it still has some effect, reducing the stuttering by 70% I dont stutter much but sometimes it can get really bad

When i worked at a pharmacy we had a man that would call up for his medication. it was very hard for him to get through even the first letter, so we wrote numbers on the medicine bottles and he would just tell us the numbers, sometimes he would get stuck on the first letter of the number but we all were used to it and learned to understand him, he was a great man and it was gard seeing him struggle.

I stammer and this is what a lot of people have to go through to do the simplist of tasks everyday, such as using the phone.

The line "is there someone that can talk for you" breaks my heart everytime, as I have heard that said to me so many times and it made me feel so small.
