  • very good like

  • Great, I'm on the ninja part of youtube.

  • man, the second vertical method look very bad ass!! and sounds awesome when hits the board!!

  • Condor Knife and Tool just came out with their own Senban Style Shuriken. for 2012.

  • @asacami Cool, thanks. Everybody has been asking about getting some....

  • Can you throw them like this from shizen, the natural stance?

  • If shurikens are supposed to be distractions, cant you just grab pebbles from the ground and chuck them at the enemy?

  • @yuanw1122 You can! But a thrown shuriken is at the least a distraction. If it hits you, it may not incapacitate you but it's going to hurt you, and that pain will most likely distract you as well. The deadly part comes more from a poisoned shuriken, or as in the days before tetanus shots, a light wound from a rusty shuriken could easily prove lethal. So in effect, shurikens are distractions with the extra bonus of pain and possibly death.

  • Is Owning These Legal?

  • Um... One question doesn't it hurt when u touch the sharp points and stuff??

  • Didnt the ninjas almost never used these typ of multi pointed shurikens becuse they could be thrown back at them?

  • why does this guy look like tommy from the power rangers

  • If you touch the tip of the ninja star, wouldn't it cut you?

  • Is the method the same to use on a 7 pointed shuriken?

  • I'm great at distraction

  • wow who the f*** would want to do that

  • I'm studying Bujinkan and i don't know how 2 throw a kunai if u can show me how 2 do so i will be grateful.

  • @kidgusto142 We'll try to get that into a future video shoot. Look for video about throwing knives - it can be somewhat similar.

  • @kidgusto142 My weaboo sense is tingling.

  • What kind of long term job prospects do I have if I learn to be a ninja?

  • @pyrates80 stealth killer.... :D .. *only joking btw* ...but you may earn a lot of money (as shown in "wanted" and" assessin's creed")

  • @pyrates80 assassin....pizza delivery guy?

  • Thank you!

  • Shuriken (shuri (throw) ken (blade) WERE used as distraction weapons. They allowed the thrower to escape or attack whilst the target was dodging of covering their face.

  • how do i even get a real one?

  • @moester11 Go to our website, click on the Store button, it will take you to a place on Amazon.

  • @NinjaLearningNetwork Hello! I found only 4 stars, for example I did not find in the store the one you use at the beginning of this video. Others are rubber stars. Could you please give me a direct link if you have more shurikens for sale? thanks! :-)

  • @moester11

if you have an old pan lying around you can easily cut one out of the metal.

i did it myself but it didnt work because i used an aluminium pan, so make sure you use an iron one

  • Ehhhh Im gunna stick with my balistac knife

  • I Dare You To Do Shadow Clones

  • If You Have Chakra I Dare You To Do Shadow Clones

  • Is this ninjustu thing also for 14 year old boys??

  • @awesomevhiny Sure, but you would have to get your parent's permission to study it in most places.

  • which is better: kunai or shuriken? thx

  • @simosando Practice both. All weapons are good to know.

  • "...so I'm literally squeezing the shuriken blade into my pointer finger and my palm as I hit my own arm with my fist."

    Seems effective.

  • too bad throwing stars are illegal in indiana :(

  • SHIRKIN

  • SpoonXIX: really!

  • I can show you a vaki daki method, but i am not shore because then i have to kill you...:-)

  • other ninja's they trow multiple knife's at the same time why arent you doing that it seems much more effective

  • @Graffer97 we do, it's not in this video

  • I use to be a ninja like you, then I took a shuriken to the knee...

  • Where can i buy them and are they legal in Latvia?

  • @upmalasorange You can look at our Amazon Store button on our web page. Shinobi Gear, Karate Supply and a website called Dragonhoshidefense have it sometimes.

  • Where can i buy them and are they legal in Latvia?

  • Can I ask something else? Isn't ninjitsu pretty much overhyped/manufactured? Where there any real ninjas? I think they were calling them virtually everything, like "spy", "insurgent", "assassin", "agent" etc. in Japanese of course. So "ninjas" pretty much anything they could find handy.

  • @VonManavis go to Wikipedia to see some history about Ninjas. Look at Bujinkan, Ninjutsu, and Samurai

  • thanks dude

  • My shuriken has 8 sharp sides, what is it called? lol

  • @shuriken198

    octa-shurican

  • All of these methods can be used with a 5 tips shuriken?

  • 15 people did'nt graduate

  • Be a samurai, not ninja.

  • rnt they sharp as hell?? i thought u would definately bleed when u touched the sides

  • @jkwon761 They have obviously been Blunted, you fool. Either that, or they serve the same purpose as a knife would. They break the skin, and with the momentus force from the weight of the star itself, will imbed itself into the target. If they enter the Plywood enough for them to stick in and stay put, it would definitely do some serious damage to the target.

  • Chuck norris...

  • @TheCrafterMan

I own several really sharp shuriken and it's surprising how well they fit into your hand. The edges of the shuriken really aren't that sharp. The tips are what get you and they shouldn't come into contact with your hand if you throw them properly.

  • ok but can you throw a Thundering Shuriken? KENNEN!

  • I have two kinds of shurikens, two with 4 curved spikes (which I don't know how to hold 'em) and one with 8 spikes, neither of them have sharp edges but the 8 spiked wall still sticks into a concrete wall (in wood both completely went through), they pack a fearsome punch, and that given I don't know how to launch them properly, I agree, they're quite dangerous

  • I love that you can't buy these in some states, but anyone can buy a razor-sharp steak knife at Target. That's the government for you.

  • It seems like when he holds the star you come into contact with the edges. How do you not get cut?

  • i like his style

    but i dont prefer senban

  • Would you stop calling it the "Pointer Finger"? It's the "Index Finger".

  • *misses shot*

    Thats okay, its a distraction....

  • @sonniegirl - he didn't actually miss it just didn't penetrate far enough to stick - this is a problem often if you are throwing at ply wood or particle board it is harder than it would seem also his shuriken may or may not be sharp enough to stick but trust me your body is not only softer even if he hit you and it didn't penetrate enough to stick in your flesh it would hurt like hell which is a pretty decent distraction.

  • @Teclis98 I agree with you to an extent (and please note, I train in Bujinkan - I am no hater...) but... as a professional Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu instructor, his groupings should be tighter, and the ninja's opponent was the Samurai who wore armour - if it didn't stick into ply, it's not going to distract him while he's busy giving you a decapitating strike with his perfectly practiced kenjutsu strike ;)

  • @sonniegirl ikr i always stick. if i dont, i'm mad at myself.

  • @sonniegirl ikr i always stick. if i dont, i'm mad at myself.

  • @sonniegirl ikr i always stick. if i dont, i'm mad at myself.

  • @sonniegirl That's because hira shuriken are used as distractions since they're usually incapable of inflicting deadly wounds. If you want to see a shuriken more capable of killing, look up bo shuriken, otherwise you can you leave ignorant comments someplace else.

  • the foot fist way was about this dude

  • you have foot like yoda

  • So... This thing looks super thin and if you can hold it like that its not sharp

  • 11 people got hurt with the Senban Shuriken

  • You have an great skill.

Probably you're one of the best!

  • are throwing stars illegal in texas?

  • @DKofMCLA i dont think so i live in texas and the mall down the street from my house has a store inside that sells all kinds of weapons including throwing stars like these

  • JUMBYII!

  • Distraction...uhmm, if u got 6 of these stuck in you..ur not gonna last long unless the guy sucks so bad he only got fingers lol, if one hits you in the neck/head, u r dead! Haha

  • @Bmxthegr8 not totally true.......

  • @V3rmicid3 dude they are only illegal in Washington D.C so u can buy one if u dont live the hope the advice helped :)

  • @Mysteryloloboy They are also illegal in Nevada along with bo shuriken. There could be towns that don't allow it, and it sometimes depends on whether or not you also have a criminal record.

  • @Mysteryloloboy Are they illegal in Maryland?

  • I noticed in a comment to another person that you said shuriken are illegal. I've been wanting to buy some for a while now but i now i fear that i would be breaking the law. How can i tell if they are legal in my area? Thank you.

  • @V3rmicid3 The fastest way to find out legality status about shuriken and other martial arts weapons is to contact your local police office directly. They generally appreciate the inquiry and can tell you about different levels of legality - for instance, the answer may depend on 1) if you have any convictions, 2) if you are transporting the weapons in a concealed manner 3) if you are only transporting them for a training situation. The laws vary by country, state, county and municipality.

  • @V3rmicid3 CA NY AND I THING NJ

  • @V3rmicid3 #

dont quote me, but as far as i know, as long as you keep it/on your property, its fine.

the only thing i would watch out for is if it is legal to import.

  • Do the throwing methods change if the shuriken is 5 or 6 pointed?

  • this guy is so chill. i love it.

  • Warning: Try this at home.

  • @Revelations895 Hey I hope you got the message in your inbox from us too. Sensei Roemke is 10th Dan studying directly with Soke Hatsumi in Japan for quite a few years - and, of course, lots of additional training with experts of various specialties whenever opportunity arises. Thanks for asking and TRAIN ON NINJA WARRIOR!

  • shuriken translates into english as "blade behind the hand"...

  • why all these dudes white

  • is it me or is the shuriken a bit... bend? o.O

  • can we throw it like a card?

  • So if the shurikens weren't insanely blunt like,,, wouldn't some of those shurikens just cut your hand instead?

  • i hate when they talk about shurikens knifes or something else

  • people fail to understand what it is like being on the business end (even with rubber training shuriken) a skilled nage will have you distracted enough to evade or apply any necessary means to end an encounter....and as he said, missing one means nothing....often the face is a good target and shuriken can be thrown in rapid succession...and trust me you wouldn't be saying that it's a fail if you were the uke.

  • I didn't know that shuriken is called chinese stars in English.

  • i wanna rock your bodaaaaay :)

  • not just a distraction. the senban is the weakest style of hira shaken. they were originally nail removers. not like the real shaken of the koge and iga ryuhe. they stick poorly and dont penetrate far. so its not your fault. its the shurikens.

  • Chinese? JAPANESE!

  • i am really looking forward to get into training with shurikens... i would just like to know which shuriken (stars) (or shurikens if it is a set) would be the best quality, best type out there. I also would like them to be no more than 3"...

  • @x2xMuDBuTTx2x Bo shuriken is the long one shuriken means throwing blade .... and senban is under the hira shuriken category ...but yes shaken can be used

  • uhm...aren't these "Shakens"? Shurikens are steel needles, not stars.

    Well, I think.

  • "Boards don't fight back..."

  • who watched this just to see him chuck the sharp thingy across the room?

  • @sonicbumblebeee MEMEMEMEMEME !!!! but i also found once i watched it was very afomitive......still it was awesome to watch the sharp things stick into the board!!!!!

  • how do u no if its real or not

  • I use the 6 point shuriken with the trigger sqeeze method, hold it loose and it will not fail

  • I use the 6 point shuriken with the trigger sqeeze method, hold it loose and it will not fail

  • I find the trigger squeeze method w/ 6 point shuriken most effective. Hold it loose and it will stick every time

  • one other thing was that ninjas where lower class people below samurai that had enough of being pushed around so got themselves there lable and begun to do what they done, and when a ninja jumps into a window and theres 3 men at the end of the day they arnt as skilled as they are in the movies and need to distract a few enemies u use the shuriken

  • senban shurikens arnt deadly like a koghan so thats why he sais the distraction buisness

  • 3:11 is where he actually throws them

  • lol it looked like he was having a fight with himself.. haha

  • What is Your Personally Faver Shuiken? Am Going to start Training again.

  • first star = fail! if your enemy is a real skilled ninja u are dead with ninjato xD

  • @APOLONIUMX

Just because the first one fell out doesn't mean it failed. The shuriken still penetrated the board. If you looked at it you would see a hole in the board where the star hit.

  • Cool, Ninja training from american guy :D next im gonna learn to fly from a snail XD

  • Good video

    Thank you for posting

  • anybody else notice that the nose of the skull is actually the pick of destiny

  • excellent video..

    i like the split screen...

  • what ever happened to ninjas being asian?

  • @TheNinjaBoy13.... Well Asians Teaching Other Races that is what Happen. Think of it as Asians making White and Other Races more Deadly Plus, I see it as this (From a Muslim Point of view) God Put us in Different Country's and Tribes, so we may know one Another and one day help one another becomes Better people.

  • Hello, I was just curious because I throw a 5 point 'spear head' shuriken. Could you make a lesson for it? Thank you.

  • I noticed that you said that Shuriken/Throwing stars are mostly used for distractions. I'm not sure if that's the case, you could still injure someone, like the hand, to keep from using other weapons. Just what kind of damage could the stars do? Besides the most vulnerable places like eyes, neck, etc. What kind of penetration do they have?

  • @danhair you are correct that distraction is important. Depending on the sharpness of the tool and the skill of the thrower, the weapon can achieve lethal penetration anywhere on the body (which is why they are illegal almost anywhere) Thank you for your comment.

  • @NinjaLearningNetwork Why is it legal in most countries to have a gun and illegal to have throwing stars? Based on fire power and injury, a gun is much more lethal than a throwing star, right? To even hit a target with a throwing star, you need to train.

  • @danhair I heard that shurikens were thrown at the hands of samurais to get them to drop their swords plus its was one of their few vulnerable spots but im sure they had multiple uses

  • @danhair um it is for destraction and injury

  • @danhair its true you can do real damage though its unlikely. I'd say the bo shuriken are more capable due to their length giving more depth of penetration. However, the biggest hinderance to shuriken is clothing!! I've got a pistol crossbow with a 160ft/sec firing speed and I've fired a bolt through a wooden shed wall a 1/4" thick. However, as soon as I put a a tshirt in the way the bolt barely managed to stick in the wood. The fabric slowed it down a lot and a crossbow is faster than a person.

  • @danhair They would be thrown in the face or neck of a guard and they would fly off into some grass or dirt. The person who got slashed would think he got hit by a invisible attacker or something like that. He would run of too seek help, leaving the postion he was guarding vulnerable.

  • I've never really understood the practicality :S

  • The Ancients use to put poison on all their throwing weapons, all throwing weapons had to be held a specific way and thrown a specific way to avoid the thrower from poisoning himself as he threw it. ancient throwing stars were bigger and much heavier than those made today, I prefer to make my own from heavy gauged steel 1/4 inch thick 5 to 6 inch's in diameter and use square holes so they can be locked onto a t fitting with a simple twist on your belt, just passing along some info. thanks

  • shuriken no chinesse weapon is japan weapon !!

  • Thanks for the comment. Yes we understand this has been said and thank you for contributing your knowledge. Many people have referred to it so often that they are commonly known as "chinese stars" in American and many countries, which may indeed be incorrect. It has become a commonly used term for the weapon now. Maybe this is another example of the "Hollywood" effect on popular culture..

  • @NinjaLearningNetwork ok ^^ tanks for your reponse sorry l dont speak englich =op

  • @TheJimyyy japaneese=chinesse

  • @TheJimyyy it is both ...

  • in just two video,, in just few minuets.. i become killer.. 1st i watch video how to make shuriken by paper.. 2nd i watch tiz video how to use it in deadly way..

  • first shuriken throw? fail

  • The ending was scary

  • This video was very informative, thanks for sharing.

  • It'd seem like the trigger method would run the risk of cutting or nicking the webbing in your hand if you don't quite right. Has that ever been an issue?

  • yes this can happen if the shuriken are sharpened, in which case you should not do this without supervision, or at all. Shuriken are not necessarily sharpened like knives and will do damage to the target even when not sharpened.

  • i mean this is cool, but you realize it's a weapon... you can't go around throwing knives at people, right?

  • you make it look so easy. Same as all other martial arts teachers :P

  • How would a frisbee through a shuriken? Just yanking your chain. Great video.

  • hard target :P but still cool footage

  • hard target :P but still cool footage

  • o my gosh this video helped me sooo much i am a begginer thank u for making this!!

  • i heard that the shuriken was a farming tool used to remove nails out of wood, then used as a throwing wepon, is this true

  • @GH2ful1 well, you may be right-they were used as a farming tool at first but then when there was a war, they became excellent weapons in times of battle- oh and another way to say ninja, is shinobi

  • @GH2ful1 well, you may be right-they were used as a farming tool at first but then when there was a war, they became excellent weapons in times of battle-oh and another way to say ninja, is shinobi

  • AIM FOR THE THROAT.

  • My question is, if the second vertical method isn't as accurate or as powerful as the first, why use it?

  • @TekelBrighteyes People use different methods as it suits them in Ninjutsu, there are no set rules, per se, and also different conditions may require you to throw from a different position, depending on the situation you are in at any given time, so you should be prepared to use alternate methods at all times.

  • Depending on the position you are in at any given time, you may need to use alternate stances or techniques. Be prepared to deviate from whatever standard basic techniques you may learn at any time. Thank you for the question.

  • wow excellent video,very interesting

  • try from farther than 2 feet

  • if you throw at an angle downward it speeds up the longer it flys

  • yeah, i prefer the Famas :(

  • i love this shit like throwing stars throwing knifes cus u rly need skill unlike a gun u just poun and shoot whith a lil aiming

  • was he wearing toe socks? 5:15

  • hey i wanna learn ninja skills but i want to learn how to throw ninja stars and ive been looking do you learn how to use ninja stars and katanas in ninjutsu bujinkan?

  • @planbskater090909 very essy trow shuriken !!

  • ill stick with the 1911

  • Cant you tie a shuriken with a thin line and use it like a puppet?

  • hey where do u buy these shurikens ??

  • make your own ... go to like home depo or something and pick up one of those metal sockets that you put the light switches into ... your looking for basically any flat metal ... draw out a star shape and cut it out .... after that take a metal filer and file down the edges till they are sharp and GG you have made a star ... way better than paying ridicules prices for a computer to make 1000 + in a day

  • @steveo9001 that works or you can use 18 gauge sheet metal like i did.

  • @roadsterX Anywhere they are legal. I know that California 100% will not hear of throwing stars getting across. If the Sellers are caught. Their lives are screwed forever. But if you live outside, of the West Coast, then you can buy them online.

  • @roadsterX Online. China. Etc

  • @roadsterX At a geek store or a online Martial arts store.

  • @roadsterX ninjas R us

  • @roadsterX You can buy them at almost any local flea market.

    or a knife shop.
