My husband and I are leaving this weekend to go on a 10-day roadtrip and we're bringing our Dane with us. We're staying at Red Roof Inn in 3 different states (allows dogs, and they don't charge you for it). Should be interesting because Guinness has never been in a hotel before.
My cousins had twin beds in their room growing up and they had a labrador that would bounce back and forth on them all day until the mattresses slid off and then he would stand in the middle of the room and bark until someone came and fixed them for him.
@cardshark722 Yeah, and if you ever took a black light or UV light into pretty much any hotel room and scanned the covers with it, you'd change your tune in a hurry, lol
That's hilarious! We travel with our boys quite often. Once, when we had our first dane (he was about 7 months old) we left him in the hotel room for a short time to grab a bite. When we returned, there was a guy at the counter freaking out about a barking dog. Oops. So, we hurried to the room and found that Count had jumped up and locked the interior latch. Oops again. We had sort of snuck him in. Luckily, the clerk liked dogs and had a tool to open the door. He thought it was funny.
I would rather have danes in my room previous to some of the bi-pedial humaniods that frequent these Hotels. Danes are more clean too. Sneak them in! HEE HEE!!

Its very important to teach your dog how to play the lava game.

Was that an Ibis hotel? I use to be assistant manager at an ibis, and they all welcome pets.

Is she a service dog? Or is she just allowed at that hotel for some reason?
By the way libbaluvsotis, it is a Great Dane and that is why it is so huge! :)
Daneluver 3 years ago
She's not a service dog, some hotel/motels take dogs although after seeing this video that may change. ;)

@lovebluedanes Kids do the same thing when you take them to a hotel/motel.
