  • I made this a few days ago! It was INCREDIBLE(:

  • @wickiezulu sure, you can choose your own flavours!!

  • Can I go without the desiccated coconut and use Glazed Cherries / Almonds (or Peanuts) and plain Hobnobs in place of the sultanas and the digestives?

  • Orgasmic, apparently.

  • I love Jamie's sly little looks at the camera whenever Ben says something dodgy!

  • hi! this looks amazing 0_0

but i was wondering, would honey be a good substitue for the golden syrup?(:

  • Thanks for the Recipe I will probably sell some of those in my school for charity and new school material with the SpaMi (It's the Spachtel=Eating Ministerium=Ministerium, we sell food to raise money for different things)

Starbucks is this place like McDonalds just for coffee right :D? well how much does a "rocky road" cost there?

  • can i put regular coconut instead of desicated

  • @Bkilla159 Yep, if you cut it small enough, it should be fine!

  • i'm quite sorry, but at 1:08, what are those rounds?

  • @WebkinzSetter003 If you have a grocery store that has a european/internationally foods section they'll be there. I'd try Wal-Mart or even a specialty food store.

  • In Malaysia we called it "Cake Batik". We use Milo powder instead of chocolate and the biscuit is crunchy when we bite it. Just DELICIOUS!!

  • you should show what you need at some point to make it easier for people !

  • @midierror All the ingredients are on the website :-D

  • @sortedfood great - it tasted amazing. My girlfriend said it was the best pudding ever !

  • What is the exact recipe ?

  • @TheBestGirley it will probably be on their website :)

  • Nors ir primena tinginį, manau tinginys vis tiek skaniau. Ne tiek visko pridėta, viskas su saiku. :)

  • why is your index finger always taped?

  • randomly came across your channel and i am hooked!

  • 3:41 hahaha! My crush for Jamie is growing more as I watch these videos!

  • For how long can i keep this in my fridge, before it goes bad? (If I manage to stay away from this delicious sweetness^^)

  • @Gwen26Juni If you can avoid eating it then it'll keep in the fridge for a week no problem! Just make sure it's in a sealed container so it isn't tainted by smelly things in the fridge like cheese or onions.

  • "ill just have one"

    *Takes bite*

    "OOOOH GOOOOOD"

  • I love Jamie! Hahahahahah :D

  • I'm on a diet, I really shouldn't be watching these videos...

  • we normally put cherries (glace) in ours, and the last time i made fridge cake there was snow outside so I just covered it and left it on the patio table -cooled in half an hour! magic!

  • thumbs up if you saw cheryl cole say "hag" before skipping the ad......

  • Jamie is bloody hilarious! :L

  • im Canadian can maple syrup substitute golden syrup

  • "The clingfilm makes it easier to take out in the end"

    -looks at camera-

    "Go both ways"

    -looks at camera again-

    harharhar :D

  • i made it for christmas and everyone loved it,i just used coconut and digestive biscuits oh and instead of golden syrup i used maple syrup ,it was very nice !

  • Am in the midst of making this for Christmas right now, but with glace cherries instead of raisins and no coconut... and oh dear... my chocolate and butter almost melted completely and then went hard again... oh no... oh no... oh it's okay, I fixed it :')

  • I made these for my school's christmas party, everyone loved them so much, there was too little to go 'round! thanks sorted!!

  • Can i leave out the golden syrup because i live in Pakistan and cant get things as easily? Please tell i'm making it for my family for Christmas

  • @notfowwaz I looked up wikipedia for this golden syrup and its actually a pale treacle which meant any syrup made during the refining of sugar. "It has an appearance similar to honey, and is often used as a substitute for people who do not eat honey. It can also be used as a substitute for corn syrup."

    So, vice versa ;)

  • 2:01 for stirring fail

  • I'm making this for Christmas Eve with my family! :D I'm so excited to make it!! I love the you guys so much!!! :D

  • When I try this it always has to much biscuit??? I used 150 grams like in the recipe. Allthough I don't use coconut and marshmallows??? Problem?

  • @ThisGuysMovies Well the marshmallow and coconut helps to even out the biscuit...so if you're leaving them out, you could try using something else to fill their place?

  • @sortedfood Good idea! More sultana's!!!!!!!!!! Oh and for X-mas I have to make a amuse. (do they use that in England in Holland they do! :D) A little starter basically.

And I wanted to make like chopped lobster with parmesan cheese with chive and cream and lots more yummy into a little bonbon. But I wanted to do something special on top like a tiny dollop of meringue burnt with the torch thingy. But how could I make that taste good with the rest of the amuse??? Thank you already!! :D

  • @sortedfood Oh and could you tell who's writing this Ben, Barry or Jamie or Mike! :D

  • I love that guys face with all the sexual innuendos. :3

  • I clicked on the granola recipe link at the end of the macaroons video... and where did I end up? GET IT SORTED OUT please!!!!

  • Okay, so...instead of the digestive biscuits could I use graham crackers? and instead of sultanas or jelly babies, can I use jelly beans? Love watching you guys! :)

  • @somewhatcompetent They sound like good suggestions...give them a go! Our recipes are only a guideline!

  • @sortedfood okay cool! Thanks :D ! I can't wait to make it! (even though my brother isn't to happy to find out were going shopping lol!) Thanks again!

  • if i tried this without the golden syrup, would it end up a complete failure? or are there substitutes? :O thanks!

  • How many cups of chocolate is that?

  • Just made them weeks ago and they were fantastic!!! (My boyfriend loved them :P) Love your recipes :D

  • is there any alternatives for the golden syrup? please? :D

  • can I use honey instead of whats that called? golden syrup?

  • @frombeautyLAB If you don't have golden syrup, you can mix half honey and half dark corn syrup

  • lol 3:37 my fav part :P

  • Could I use just marshmallows?

  • @YogBox Yup of course you could :D

  • If I don't want raisons or coconut what else would you suggest?

  • @KieranR9 cherries/nuts etc

  • I just thought of something... if they already had one in the fridge... which means... they have 2 batches of rocky roads <3 o_o

  • looks delicious, but the last time i has raisins or whatever they were i threw up haha :L

  • @cosyhuddles123 haha you could always change them for cherries or something?

  • @sortedfood Good idea, thanks :)

  • If I added peanuts and cherries to this will it be too much? also how essential is the honey?? does that just make it sweeter?

  • @Kylie1403 Honey or golden syrup provides the gooey texture....but peanuts and cherries will be lovely!

  • Perhaps a bit unrelated, but where do you get your slate serving boards/plates? I've been looking everywhere but I can't find them!

  • @kurtthewurt ikea perhaps??

  • I'm laughing my arse off at the facial expressions there!!!

2:09 It's all about the depth

2:18 It's a lot easier to take out the other end

  • @sgtshotgun92 You missed out 2:23 ;)

  • You were much skinnier Ben!

  • omg i love this you tuber site it is the best

  • Will honey do instead of golden syrup?

  • @bunforthewin Yep, should be fine!

  • Chocolate orgasm

  • my rocky road is in the fridge right now, used honey instead of gloden syrup and chopped almonds instead of sultanas, can't wait!!! :D i'm gonna take a picture before everyone here eats it

  • not trying to be mean, but it looked like turd when still in mixture form and made me lose my apetite. then i saw the final product and became auper hungry.

  • hey sorted, could you do a recipe for white christmas? It's like rocky road but special for christmas. It's sentimental to me and i'd love to have an easy recipe :)

    please and thank you!

  • ahahah his facial expressions to ALL the innuendos. (and there was a lot) haah his face at 2:19

  • you are a bunch of cool bastards best food channel on you tube

  • what can be used to substitute golden syrup? :)

  • would using white chocolate be okay?

  • How much chocolate?

  • chocgasm ^^ ♥ ... i tried it and it tasted sooo divinely!!

  • om nom nom nom

  • What would be a good alternative for the sultanas?

  • It's okay to use normal size marshmallows(we here don't have any mini-sized in stores)if just to cut smaller? I know it's quite a rethorical question, but just to make certain that there would be no taste differences or stuff like that:)

  • @wienerblut100 No problem at all :-D

  • I used dried cranberries instead of sultanas, yummy!

  • When melting my chocolate I was left with reletavely solid chocolate in a pool of butter. Why would this happen? Too much butter? Too much Syrup?

  • whats a good substitute for sultanas/raisins ?

  • @joycevreal Something chewy like glacé cherries or any dried fruit! Anything fruity or chewy...you could even try jelly babies!! Haha!

  • @joycevreal In Australia we often use raspberry lollies. So chewy and yum!

  • @joycevreal ive made it with dried cranberries, worked like a charm. not a big fan of raisins myself so tried cranberries and pomegranate seeds. both abit sour. The cranberries was realy good, but the pomegranate seeds made it abit to moist.

  • i tried this the other day with marshmallows, peanuts digestive and rice crispy. extra crunchy, extra yumm-o!! =)

  • oh im so good, i figured out that ben is looking skinny here so i thought something is different and thought that it is an old video, guess i'm right ^_^

  • oh no blue band aid on the finger again!! :(

  • @khinhsumon Ah it's ok...it's an old video!!

  • Can you melt the chocolate in the microwave?

  • @HarrisDouglasSRFC You can do...nice and slowly, and stop halfway to stir it through :-)

  • @sortedfood Thanks. After a successful attempt at the chocolate fudge, I thought I should have a go at this

  • bit of a dumb question, but whats the difference between standard and cooking chocolate? or isn't there one xD

  • how much of each ingredient do we use?

  • @lookfortherainbow All the ingredients are on our website, linked to in the description box :-D

  • could you use white chocolate? og maybe mix dark and white together for a marble-effect? Thanks ;)

  • @a9k1n You can do...white chocolate is much stronger and has a lower boiling point so careful it doesn't burn when melting!

  • In my kitchen, I have flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate, and milk, eic.

I don't have butter, or baking powder/soda. Can i still make a cake or brownie?

(I'm not sure my flour is self-raising)

    Thanks:)

  • likeeeeeeee

  • Every time Jamie looks at the camera, I get the feeling he's thinking "that's what she said". XD

  • Do you have to use cooking chocolate? Or can you use...eating chocolate? :P

  • i made this and used the measurements on your website, the amounts specified do not make any where near as much as you did in the video. I'm sure i measured them correctly aswell.

  • i like this recipe and will try this but i don't think there's chewy choco nuts something here in my place. and i don't like the coconut. will it be okey if i don't put all of the ingredients you have?... by the way, i really love your videos! since i found it i repeatedly view your videos! tnx

  • I think sneaky jamie eat a couple of squares of chocolate instead of them going into the bowl

  • "Sorry mate, maybe next time." Twas a sad day for the oven.

  • i love rocky road :D

  • Is there anything else you can use besides marshmallows? I'm a vegetarian and don't eat them because they have gelatine in them.

  • @Ellie44556 you can get vegetarian marshmallows... but failing that, more dried fruit. Glacé cherries are amazing in this.

  • @Ellie44556 you can get vegetarian marshmallows... but failing that, more dried fruit. Glacé cherries are amazing in this.

  • foodgasm lol

  • is there an alternative to the marshmallows? specifically speaking about the gelatin in the marshmallows...

  • NEVER watch any sorted videos when you are hungry

  • can i use white and milk chocolate instead of the normal one?

  • i'm a little bit in love with all of you. its a bit sad. and i eat a lot more since this channel came into my life... oh well. it'll get me through exams ;)

  • i want to give this to my friends. is that possible? will it melt on the way there?

  • what actually happened to Ben's left index finger?

  • what's golden syrup???

  • @hilodingdongwoofbear very similar to corn syrup.

  • @sortedfood so then its okay to use corn syrup if you dont have golden syrup?

  • @Shitensou Correct :-D

  • @sortedfood Awesome! Anyways, I love your guys recipes! They are always fast, and simple to do. :D

  • I never realised how simple this was to make and so cheap compared to shop bought. I'm already thinking about combining this with the truffles and some of your other sweet recipes and making little chocolate boxes for people at christmas.

  • Could Sorghum Molasses Syrup be sub. for the Golden Syrup? I don't have a British Spec.shop near my home. making sorghum can be found on youtube

  • you guys need a cooking show!! i would watch it every time it came on!!! :D

  • wait... what's golden syrup?

  • All of Jamie's expressions when Ben says something even mildy dirty is HILARIOUS. And Ben's so sweet because he's completely oblivious!

  • Do I need to add the coconut because my sister HATES coconut.

  • Would it be ok if I used cooking chocolate in this recipe or just normal chocolate?

  • jamie sure knows how to let someone know they've done a good job in the kitchen

  • Mine is in the fridge at the moment. I am hoping it tastes better than it looks at the moment. I am really impatient, I want to eat it now! Should I have put the ingredients straight into the chocolate while it was still warm? Because I think my marshmallows melted. Got a few more hours to wait yet, then I will see how it turned out! x

  • I love how you always reply to the comments patiently :D that's so sweet.

  • @URMySea It's just what I'd do if my friends asked me questions... we love hearing from you guys... although great to see you all asking the questions on our website too! :D

  • @ALLINKNOTS no i'm not sure u can get it in america (i have lived in both countries) but try things like the british pantry or the intenational iles in stores

  • I'm a first year student at Uni and my sister has visited me this weekend and brought up some Rocky Road she made using your recipe as a surprise. We're eating some at the moment and we both agree... it is AMAZING! Thank you! p.s our reactions were similar to Jamie's!

  • Someone really likes Rocky Roads xD OOOH GOD! HHHHHUUUMMM

  • Comment removed

  • @sortedfood, the butter you guys use in all your recipes is saltless butter right?

  • @BreeMckenzie we actually use salted... although unsalted is fine.

  • noooooes... I forgot the syrup! DAMMIT!!!

  • What could be a substitute for the golden syrup (would honey work?), I'm not sure where to buy that in stores here in the US. :S
