I was at Montreal at that time and believe it or not when the musik start in a discotheque nobody was able to stay sit on a chair,everybody got the feeling to dance because these Musik was the best ever! Now Trance Vocal Music is good too but not enough good play list yet.

In case no one mentioned it yet, the (great) voice is legendary Phila. & New York Dj Dr Perry Johnson, " music therapist". He used to do this rap live over Bohannon's song on his show on WDAS-FM. Bohannon got wind of it, loved it, & put out this version w/ Perry's voice on it. We've had a lot of great DJ's in Philly- Hy Litt, , Sonny Hopson, Georgie Woods, Jerry " The Geator' Blavat , Joe Niagara, "Wee- Willy ' Weber- & Perry was one of the best!

No two ways about it. This is one of the best dance tracks of all time! Incredible beat and brilliantly catchy lyrics. Reminds me of Peppermint Place Blackburn in the mid 80's Can't believe that the same bloke released the hideously awful Disco Stomp.

This version was released in 1981, and even though I like the original version from 1978, this version has always been better to me. This is arguably one of the most overlooked dance tracks ever with that seriously funky groove, and the DJ rappin' on it, created a sound that to this day hasn't been topped. Hamilton Bohannon has never received proper acclaim for what he contributed to music, a very talented musician, and this track is definitely a masterpiece, no question about that!!
