LOL what I find funny about it is that has been my vocabulary for the past two weeks. Invoice invoice, this place is a mess, and how are you paying. Luckily shoes don't repeat my words LOL
It's too bad there's so much controversy over real parrots and how they should be caged, etc. The USA seems to be the only country where constant disclaimers are needed in tv commercials. Around the world, people are smarter and understand the jokes.
Actually, for parrots that are OUT of their cage and around the house during the day, as they should be, a smaller cage is perfectly fine. My African Grey only ever sleeps in hers... its huge, and she uses *maybe* a third of the whole thing. Could have saved $300 on a smaller cage for the same use.
Don't judge unless you know personally whats going on.
The problem is when something like this is shown on national television. The average person who think "Oh cool, a talking parrot! Let's get one" and then relegate the poor thing to a tiny cage with no toys and a single wooden perch.
I do parrot rescue and see this way too often. Like the B&G macaw we got in recently that lived in a 25" cockatiel cage. for 7 yrs. She had no tail (of course) and is terribly emotionally damaged.
Its a commercial. Yes, I know people are generally stupid, but a commercial doesn't have them putting down a grand on impulse. I'd worry more about pet-stores that present them in real life in such set-ups.
And yes, I generally agree, people often don't know enough about birds to care for them. We studied for 2 years before getting our ACG, and still weren't 'prepared'. But we try, and there are many good owners like us who are trying. You won't hear about the good ones though.
I like it. I have friends with three parrots and they speak at least that well. And it does sound like the voices in my head when I'm going through my receivables ...
It's bad enough that I have to worry about what my kids are saying in the background when I try to do business on the phone. If I had parrots like these repeating some of the things I say to myself, oh no!
one of the cleverest commercials I've seen in a while; especially the cockatoo sitting on the monitor with his business end on the viewing side, while Diane is looking for her invoice.
Haha, this is a creative commercial!

Please stop presenting parrots in cages that are so tiny and ROUND!
That is a horrible example of proper living conditions for a parrot.

Especially great is the "This place is a mess!" at the old lady with perfectly clean place.
I hate the shortened version which leaves that out and only shows the 1st "Did you pay me?" segment.

I hope they post the version from the very beginning. The first time I saw the ad I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. :-)

Cute commercial, but those cages are waaaaay too small for the birds and the voices don't sound anything like real parrot voices

Her first name is Molly, actually, but it's not Molly Hagan.
