The point of the Triforce hunt is that the triforce was seen in the beta and it may still be encoded into the game and possible to reach... The same with the sky temple which part of it was found.

The only way you could possibly get the triforce is in a debug rom, hacked rom, or possibly (though I'm not 100% sure) in the early version 1 gold cart which was released before fixes like changing Ganon's blood from red to green were made.

I don't know if any one has pointed this out or mentioned it... but didn't Zelda or Sheik >_>... (forgot who and idc if they are the same person o.o...) but if one with an evil mind touched the tri-force it would break into pieces (3 to be exact, Wisdom, Courage, & Power). Because of that there is no tri-force because.... Zelda = Wisdom, Ganondorf = Power and Link = Courage. This explains Link's Courage, Zelda's Magic, and Ganondorfs Power.

In other words you can't get the tri-force because you ultimately are a part of the tri-force. Remember at the end fight with Ganondorf? When Link randomly get's his hearts replenish and his left hand glows? That's because he wields the triforce of courage. Also Ganodorf gains the power to Transform into Ganon because of the triforce of power. And Zelda is refered to as the seventh sage a.k.a Sage of wisdom hence all her magical abilities. They're all part of the triforce and Legend.

For those of you who are hacking the actual OoT game, the triforce is an actual object you can make link get. I don't think it does anything, and I haven't tried hacking it yet, but if you change the object value for the chest item, you can get any file with the ending ".zobj" Look up zelda hacking on this site for more info.

@TheShadow7705 No it doesnt, when your a kid the Triforce is there the only way you can access it is with the three Spiritual stones but even then you have to break the last lock, of time by taking the Master Sword out of the Pedestal of time, which because link was too young to wield the sword he was trapped within the top part of the pedestal area until he was of age, it was like being cryogenic-ally frozen, then it was too late it was taken by Ganon which is why it has no color as adult link!

Either that, or as the theory goes, Ura Zelda for the N64DD was going to have many new features, including the Yellow Tunic and, possibly, obtaining the Triforce.
