@leonshayne This video was made almost 3 years ago so the clips might not even be there anymore. There was no one direct link though. I just went through the whole website looking for all the free fire clips. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Good luck though!

@xLilGhostx I tracked it. or in less geeky terms I moved the flames along with my movements. it only works if you do it slightly. Too much and the gag is seen.

@xLilGhostx outlined? the redishness is color correction. the exact settings are different depending on your shot. Shkaa887 put together a nice tutorial for this effect.

@LaMerlot That's a bit involved to answer as a reply. but basically I "add"-ed or "screen"-ed stock fire footage over top of each other with the blend modes. Fire footage can be bought at artbeats(dot)com or from Videocopilot or you can find free clips at detonation films . com.

@dord561 I don't have a direct link because I used a bunch of different clips. I wish I had more totell you but I think your best bet is to keep on searching detonation films. videocopilot's Action Essentials 2 has some fire stock footage. I haven't looked through it in detail but you might have luck there.

i wouldn't use stock footage if you want realism. I don't know how he did it so well, but you hardly ever get that result with stock footage.

I would say mixing blender (which has a smoke system in 2.5) and AE would be your best bet, but if you don't want to use blender particle fire is the second best option.

I did a lot of green screen in that video but I also did a lot of rotoscoping. I've learned that as a vfx guy you are going to have to be good at roto. Almost every effect I've done professionally has required both rotoscoping and motion tracking.
