From an engineering point of view these structures make no sense at all. Theres no question about it- this is a hoax. Its archive Apollo 17 footage taken somewhere south of Bear Mountain. The city has been cleverly added in. I'm guessing the genius artist who drew the city and the amature editor who composed the video were 2 different people. The city looks amazing, but the cheap lense flairs, un-natural camera panning and looped sound fx really give this away as a fake.

There's smoke everywhere. In the first few frames there's fire coming out of a crater. After 3:00 you can SEE the silhoettes of hirisebuildings. This is a much better print than the one I did all that work on. Guess I'm going to have to do it all over! This was the aftermath of an attack.

Pretty low budget for the FX, looks like. The 60ies Star Trek FX are much butter.
Apollo 20 is a nice idea for a movie, that's it.

The structures look hella fake, like a Hollywood sci-fi set. I'm not saying alien architecture couldn't look like that - just that it would be an incredible coincidence if it did.

I like how the city is a different resolution than the Moon's surface... that and it's one still shot that just pans around and zooms. Cool artwork, though.

all these posts are not those of open minded people. i have never been to the moon , nor am i a professional video analyst. That being said anything i said would be speculation. i concede this could be a hoax but, it could be authentic. time will tell the truth, not youtube or closed minded viewers

@rjrassets I offer no opinion on moon bases or Apollo XX....but....light source in this pic is obviously from rear (note city throwing shadows toward camera) so what is casting those three dramatic pointed shadows on the tallest tower?....bad editing. poor quality fake

@IMattchewB I am arguing neither for or against Apollo 20. My only complaint is lighting flaws in the picture of the city.
For the record though, if you wish to be taken as an open-minded skeptic at least get your facts correct.

If you wish to stick to established fact it should have read:
It was announced that it was canceled Jan, 1970.
There is no evidence that the flight was not made. Only that it was claimed it was not made. Big difference.

@IMattchewB I agree. There is no evidence the mission was made. I am just curious why you speak as though there is evidence the mission was not made? There is a claim it was not and that is the beginning and end of facts. Anything beyond this is pure speculation, pro and con but not FACTS.
If you have some actual evidence proving it was not made please present it. If you wish to deal with facts then please, properly label unknowns as unknowns and refrain from labeling your 'opinion' as a fact.

I'm guessing the genius artist who drew the city and the amature editor who composed the video were 2 different people. The city looks amazing, but the cheap lense flairs, un-natural camera panning and looped sound fx really give this away as a fake.

Fake! This Apollo 20 stuff has been debunked so many times now it's ridiculous. This is Apollo 17 manipulated footage taken south of Bear Mountain, Taurus Littrow. I wish the secret Apollo moon missions were real but they're not so please stop faking these films.
