It was such a drag....Booring movie about basically nothing....It was really slow and not very exciting and too confusing... It wasn't entertaining...No good action, comedy, suspense, love story, music, singing, dancing, etc...I mean I understand it was about underworld and all but why would anybody keep the head of a horse on his bed? Why did the guy sleep with a horse?Made no sense and too many plot holes I guess...What do you think?

If i was Francis Ford Coppola in 1972 i made the Godfather(Part 1,2,3) from the beginning with these greatest actors Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Jack Nicholson. I am sure each part of the movie would have won 10 oscars. Anyway this movie is the greatest of all time.

I have to admit, despite the heaps of acclaim piled into this film, I've never actually LIKED it.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's well acted, well directed and the story is great.

But when I watch this film I always lave it with a very bitter taste in my mouth.

The so-called "heroes" of the film are just as villainous as the villains and there was not a single character I actually connected to.

So while I fully accept that it's a good movie, it's also a good movie I would never watch.

This is a terrible movie. It's too long, i can't understand anything coming out of Brando's mouth, there's pretty much no action or shooting, the acting is wooden and the plot is implausable. This is complete garbage compared to great movies nowadays like Avatar and Shoot em up.

The film, whether you understand this or not, was one of the most compelling and chilling, studies of regression of character; it contains one of the greatest exchange of dialogues ever. this is a mature, deep, magnificent piece of art that is timeless and powerful. Avatar is, well, great entertainment no doubt. But comparing that to Godfather is like comparing coke to a Cabernet Sauvignon wine. :)
