I have found that if you push the magazine release button and pull back on the slide it will snap back to normal position. either that, or put the magazine back in the gun and pull back on the slide and release.
Also these Pistols should only use 95 grain or less , I Have fired over 1000 rounds of Silver bear 9mm makarov 9x18 mm 94 grain, Not a single problem yet..Anything over 95 grain might destroy your hand or pistol
So ive descovered the problem. The barrel has actually mushroomed near the end, apparently this is very common when rapid firing these guns. So somehow now i have to manage to cut the barrel off and replace it.
try taking the slide off and putting it back on.make sure its in safety with the hammer back pull the trigger frame down and put it to the side so it stays down then pull the slide back and lift up and slide it off of the barrel . reverse for assembly
on most automatics there is a last round stop that will hold the slide open so you can put in a new mag and just hit the slide release. it sounds like its realy bound up tight. i dont have one of those pistols myself. i wish i could be of more help. good luck.
Ok it sounds like something is seased in the slide. Look in my hi point vid for the link in the info and post a thread. Im more than sure they can help. Just create a log in and put the thread in the "Other Brands of firearms" forum. Let me know how it goes.

Once you shoot off all 7 rounds, the recoil will stay locked backed, Release clip and pull back and it will go back into place.

you know that it will not slide back with out the Mag in it. put the mag in and then slide it back an it should go back into position.
