  • i love the puppies, hate the music...videos with puppy and happy people sounds are so much better :)

  • I have two GP's now and will never have any other breed......INCREDIBLE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHY ARE THE BLACK? ARE THEY CROSSED WITH SOME OTHER DOG?

  • 2:55 the dog underneath has a funny look

  • I have 2 Pyrs. One of them was very aggressive and territorial when he was in his youth, had to butt heads with him a couple of times to show him who was boss. now he's alot calmer and more mellow (he's also older too), but these dogs really need a leader otherwise they'll dominate you

  • if you raise this dog correctly, they are by far one of the best breeds a person could own.

    friendly, protective, and confident.

  • You need to show your PYR who is dominat cause they will dominatre if you act as a equal to them

  • 2:34-2:42 do a barrel roll!

  • I watch this video every 6 months.

  • my great pyrnees "sindey" is just laying down is that a problem?

  • @MrLokito98 that depends on how old the dog is, but generally the GP is a dog that likes to lay down and just watch around.

  • @jangerrits oh ok thanks i thought he was sick or something lol, I LOVE GPs!!!!!!

  • @jangerrits true. Pyrs are very docile. Enjoy your Pyr

  • @jangerrits ok thanks shes better now she is always running around and stuff

  • @MrLokito98 man i wish my great pyrenees was calm he is always so HYPER and bites ALOT

  • I live in Indiana, and on aberage, the warmest temperature is probably in the 80s... would that be too hard on a dog like this, or would it manage if it could lie around all day, under a window sticking out from the house?

Seriously, in the room I'm sitting in, we have three windown built into this block that sticks out from the house, and my current dog, Sam, dug out a spot to lay in, under it.

  • @n1b3luNg I live in Denver and in the summer the temps can get up to 100 (yes, its true). My Pyr ( and my Lab) will lay around in the house in the summer. A Pyr loves the cool weahter so fall and winter are the best However, in the summer, my Pyr will go outside for a while and come in to veg. lol

  • @n1b3luNg I live in Indiana too and I have a great pyr! They are great! He's a big boy though...

  • i hav 2 ching and chong

  • Made of want.

  • aw so cute, I just wanna eat it.

  • i absolutely LOVE these dogs!!! they are SOOOOOOO cute! i have 5 :) one of mine, he's 150 pounds, his name is Shnoobs. he's SUCH a goof :P see him in one of my vids!! check out my channel for a bunch of stuuupid videos!! :)

  • i had a boy, he was named Groucho :) he had epilepsy and died on a friday last october :( he lived to be 8 and a half.

  • Did I just spot a vegetarian Pyrenees? =D She's awfully cute!!

  • Pyrs have a personality that is unlike most dogs you know. I am generalizing a little bit but I think this is generally true. They are more like cats than dogs in terms of their independence, unwillingness to submit to fetch, heel, etc. dog commands, and they have a tendency to roam and bark. These are dogs that are still used by ranchers to stay with their livestock full time to ward off predators. Just be aware of these peculiarities before you adopt a pyr.

    A two pyr owner

  • I have a pyr/white german shepard mix. Diamond is more pyr than shepard. Those that have had pyrs for a long time, any thoughts on why Pyrs dont seem to do well in dog compititions, like

Westminister. do Pyrs have similar traits to the Kuvasz?

  • I have a GP his name is Osiris, best dog ever!!! he's 5 years old, and brightens my day every day. He's protective, playful, and great with kids.

  • i have a GP his name is ma he's 8 weeks and hes so playful and his qualities are great. he has an awsome pernality and hes very smart already a great dog on a leash

  • i had one that i bottle fed from 6 days ole she was 13 when i had to put her down because she was having health problems. it was a sad day. i would gladly own another!

  • would these be a good companion dog?i want a livestock dog that can protect me and my house yet i want one that is a good companion also, and are they strong?i want to make sure i get a strong dog.they look like big dogs or is that just all the fur?oh and i might start travelling alot in hot AND cold weather so does this breed have stamina and can it adapt to different climates?

  • i have a great pyrenees. and they fit all these qualuities. best dogs in the world

  • ok :D

  • I have a pyrenees/bernese mountain dog. Hes a good dog, only 11 months, but hes already pretty protectve and strong. He is a good companionn. He is really attached to our family and gets upset if we leave him even for a few minutes. when its hot he just sleeps...i guess thats how he adapts. it is a lot of fur too...

  • man your dog must be big ^^.

  • oh and they can adapt to hot and cold climates. their fur keeps them cool and warm.

  • kool

  • This makes me miss my GP I had for 10 years. His name was Harry, and he was literally the best, smartest, and most well-tempered I have ever had. Miss him so much. Want to get another one when I get out of graduate school, and maybe a Newfoundland.

  • awe i love my Great p macey! =D

  • lol i luv watching thse type vids.i have 2 G.P. one is 11 years old, and the other is 4 months, but she is tiny and not as fluffy becuas she isnt a purebred. shes tall, and rlly fast! check out my channel 4 vids of my dogs! ijust got my puppy a few weeks ago, and she is so sweet! i luv ur vid! r allthe dogs urs?

  • i love pyrenees!

  • the mom of these puppies had my dog preston... he is CUTE

  • It is "Ta Ta Ta" by Michel Polnareff

  • I have one

  • Love these dogs; they're so amazing (not to mention, BIG!!)! FIVE stars!

  • Sooo cute! I have a great pyrenees puppy. Lol he's so sweet..but big for 2 months

  • Beautiful dogs!

  • so cute!! ehehe!! they are precious! but i cant hv 1 for my own haihz.. luv those dogs^^

  • I have this kind of dog

  • Absolutely precious!

  • Now that's a dog. I don't like watching all these small poofy foofy dogs in the AKC competitions. Gimme a nice big GP any day.

  • mine has 6 2, its normal as that is their snow claws, fact. i have 2 and want to becoma a breeder

  • are these good dogs? I want one, but I have never owned a dog, are they hard to train? I have done research on the breed and they sound good, but for you guys that own them, are they a good dog to have? you can be honest

  • Pyreneans are a fantastic breed of dog to own. I personally think you must have 3 vital things to own one:

    1) A nice big garden/house for them to roam

    2) Patience and the dicipline to train them (it is a MUST to train them when they're younger as they're harder to do so when heee-uge!)

    3) The ability to show them love. Pyreneans love to be loved. They're also very loyal to their owners and very warm around children...if introduced to them early on in their life obviously. So do it! Get one!

  • Great dogs...i live were the summers are brutally hot, so i shave my Pyrenees in the summer to keep him from overheating, sounds silly but put sunblock on skin or they will get bad sunburn...but other than that, they are not a whole lot of maintenance

  • they are amazing. Loyal. But you need to train, train, train. They also bark and dig alot, and can be headstrong and vicious if they think they are the boss. They are really caring, and sweet, but you need time and love and care.

  • my pynenees has six toes its pretty cool XD

  • I have never had a pet in my life!!! :(

  • i bought a great pyreenes puppy(srry spelt it wrong.) Her name is Lily, and i LOVE her! great pyr's are awesome dogs, and are super fluffy, so i like cuddling with her!!!

  • There's nothing cuter!!!

  • they look like polar bears

  • I am getting one the 8 it is the 6 I am soooo happy it'll be my first dog thats all mine.

  • Lol I have two, Arthur and Annabelle.

Annabelle is 9 months and Arthur is 11 weeks.

    They are soooooo cuteee!

  • i have a great pyrenees. she is almost 2 years now. her name is angel and i adore her

  • I think at least a couple of you GP owners are not too bright. Double dew claws on the rear legs ia a breed standard - to be without them is a fault. In addition, ear hematomas are not genetic.. they are generally caused by the dog clawing his ears or shaking his head to get rid of fleas or mites. Check the health of your animal.

  • Great video !!!I love it .How can I buy 2 puppies. Currently I am in Latvia.

  • I found my GP on an amish farm in Arthur, IL. She has a great pedigree but seems to have a couple of genetic problems. At 4 months old she developed HUGE hematomas on both ears which we had fixed with surgery. No big deal but she also has 2 dewclaws on each hind leg! She is sweet and beautiful and since I don't plan to breed her it really isn't a problem but I wondered if anyone else has had problems like these.

  • Our pyreenes had 2 dewclaws as well :), we even had to get him through surgery at one point cause he kept hurting himself

  • 2 dewclaws it breed standard for Pyrenees. It's not a defect

  • i have 2 pyrnese puppies...had them both since 3 weeks:) they're 5 weeks now and they are soooo adorable!

  • i have one of these. when the pizza man can my dog came and scared him away lol. it was sooo funny! but i love my great prynees lila

  • i want one sooo badly..

  • OMG they r exactly lyk mi pup Jake who iz a pyr

  • I have one. His name's Kiba... he's so cute...

    :D

  • you wouldn't happen to be a wolf's rain fan would you?

  • My great pyr/aussie shepherd mix looks just like the puppy at 1:26! Awh!

  • OH MY GOD..... If i had a huge farmland with sheep, i'd get one of these doggies in a heartbeat. XD But as i am, i'll have no sheep for them to protect and my lifestyle would be inconvenient for the needs of this dog. :\

  • Beautiful dogs, my Great Pyr started out an all white color, and how he ended up a very tawny and white, he's the first one I'd ever seen to do that, lol.

  • My parents used to run a Pyr kennel called Ventiska. We've had pyrs my whole life. This video was a walk down memory lane! Thank you so much! My husband and I are thinking about continuing the tradition now! OH and pyrs CAN handle Florida, but the upkeep of having their fur clipped short so they're comfy is UNGODLY.

  • man i miss my dog :/

  • I have one of these dogs and i live in tupelo ms, he is 6months old now i believe i will have to shave him when it gets summer he will hate it too hot for him, but he is the best animal yet pure white and a personailty of his own...his name is ozzy lol thought i would just share...they are awesome intelligent dogs.

  • hi! i live in south mississippi (just north of biloxi) and i have a 3 year old great pyrenees and the last two summers we have shaved him...he is so much happier in the summer when he's shaved...he looks pretty cute like that too =) btw..his name is napoleon...good luck with yours!

  • i have a half lab halve pyrenees puppy

  • i hve that dog. im very happy that he now growend.

  • i have one named sam,but i would really miss his cuteness when he turns old.

  • Aww now i really miss mine back home...

  • i have a Great Pyrenees named Handel. Them dogs have class :)

  • I'd love to have one but I don't think I can because of the heat. These guys wouldn't do well in Florida would they?

  • you're right, Florida is not the right climat for them. My dog e.g. is laying now outside in the freezing cold and she loves it.

  • Thanks for the response. That's too bad. I'll have to look into another breed then. :(

  • probably not my pry hates the heat!

  • Yeah, I've already accepted I can't have one.

  • this just put the biggest smile on my face. Nice video. I have one too and I guess they all act that way.

  • I WANT ONE!!

  • i have a great pyrnees named Sophie

  • Such a nice idea to have this video! Thanks for sharing it with us! They are too cute! Can GPs live in tropical climates?

Well they seem to be bundles of joy! Gob Bless em always!

  • Well, I wouldn't advise you to put a Pyrenean Dog in a tropical surroundings. My own dog likes to be outside in the winter, even when it is freezing. In summer when it is hot you can see that they don't like it. They constantly looking for shade.

  • When we had our Pyr we were living in Chatsworth, California. Summers here were in the triple digits so we did our walks in the evening. The poo-bear didn't seem to mind the weather too much, but we were more desert than tropical. And, we never shaved the pooch, they can sunburn without their protective coat.

  • Beautiful dogs!

  • Een leuke vid.

Maar ik weet het nu wel van de honden.

Probeer het ook eens met iets anders.

  • Thanks for posting such lovely video, I think GP puppy is one of the cuties thing in the world. We have 2, mother and son, Katya, 8 and Gandolf, 4, love them very much and enjoy every moment with them, Great dogs and don't want other breed other than GP!!!

  • I agree.. I just recently today found some on the side of the road.. and took both of them in.. they're so wonderful.. ones name is Mocha, and the other Manilla. hehe

  • we have a 13 month old female she is a sweet heart but everything they say about the breed she is loves to bark at anything love to dig but have dealt with that and she is very hard headed loves do her own thing . she is great at the dog park she don't bother anyone love her greatly john

  • ive got one to:) shes hard to train she likes to stay between my legs...

  • I see little souls wearing fur, souls who bark, souls who romp, souls who delight with joy and boundless love. For the humans privileged to share in the delight made room for another in your home and your heart.

  • I have 2 great pyrenees they stay with my sheep!

  • I have 1 old pyrenees that stays with my couch!

  • ohh their super cute! i have a great pyrenees thats 5 years old! their so sweet!!

  • To know a pyr is to love it! Thanks for a wonderful video documenting the charm of the breed - you even captured that ability to find enjoyment in life as Eclaire cavorts in the yard. [of course we have Pyrs-3 at the moment]

  • thanx 4 that my misty and troy had 14 pups 6 1st then 8 kept 1 of last batch named him corfus this is troys pedigree name (his dad)you can see him on u tube getting up to his usual trix and as u can c garden has been overhauled many a time compliments of. but we luv em 2 bits he also likes kidz trampoline.

  • How old is he in the last quarter of the video?

  • Wonderful Video!

The breed of dog, I've had three.

  • I lived with a Pyr for 8.5 years. Shared many adventures together including mountain biking, and snowshoeing. He was an excellent friend--I now have two Kuvaszok, but still think of 'Shadow' all the time.If inner qualities determined lifespan dogs would outlive their human friends.

  • I love my dog. She's a Great Pyrenees.

  • Beautiful video ... :)

  • I miss my dog sooooooooooooo much now. He looks very similar to these dogs. He was a Labrador/Saint Bernard mix. Big as a Saint Bernard with colors and mask. I had him for five years. He was as playful as a puppy til the very end. :(

  • My 3 brothers and myself were raised with a Great Pyrenees named Rufus. He was a saint of a dog, showing infinite patience and tolerance toward us and our unruly friends. He dearly loved his little mixed-breed companion dog, Missy, as well as our cat, Blackie. What a magnificent animal friend he was!

  • I love it, love it, LOVE IT!

  • ditto ditto ditto!!!!!
