The reason why Def Dance Skool won't get an HD camera is because they want their dancers to be recognized for their dance and their talent and not their looks or faces.

They're one of the top and most funded schools in Korea.

Dance covers is the reason for the videos. And if people could see their faces it would be "Oh they're ugly!" or "Oh, he/she's so cute!" And that would defeat the purpose of their videos. So please stop asking for HD videos when its not necessary. :]

there could be so many reasons why defdance don't use an HD camera. I don't doubt their ability to actually purchase one since they're a pretty well known and successful dance school (even being promoted by celebs) so money wouldn't be the problem. A lot of you guys have come up with some pretty legit reasons as to why they stick with lower quality videos. BUT, it doesn't matter, as long as we get to see them dance, that's the whole point of the vid. loll

I think a HD camera will ruin the whole effect of the dance. Because they're covering other artists dance choreographies, they dress their part. But if they had a HD camera, we can tell the difference between the dancer's face and the singer part they're playing really clearly and personally I would hate that. Besides, I can see their dance movements nice and clear and that's good enough for me^^

I think there's a reason they don't want to get a higher quality camera. It gives the viewer the illusion of them being original. For example, they're trying to be Beast as much as possible. If the viewer can see clearly their faces, it would seem less authentic.
