Nobody makes it in this world alone. People like to think they built their sandcastle by their own means when in reality that needed others to make it happen. If you are a business owner consider your employees were taught in public schools. Consider the roads that are provided by public means. Consider the laws that protect your business. Sandcastles are not made by ONE person but by society and as such we need to turn and help society out as well.
So then what is the point in sharing? It seems to me that it would not matter if you helped others. If in the end it is all sandcastles than who cares if we play nice? Whether I beat the other children up or not we all get more chances at the end of the day. Any suffering is only temporary and fleeting. Why shouldn’t I be getting what I want by any means necessary so I can enjoy as many different experiences as possible in the short time available to me before my next restart?
It's amazing how surprising people find giving. Friends and people I run into, are always looking for some kind of catch as to why I would just give them something I "own". It's hard to accept that I just believed that they could use it more than I could at that time. We are all one.
Can someone tell me why wealth is unimportant? I was born poor as shit, made my way through economic distress and now I'm a successful person.NOBODY HELPED ME.Why should I share my wealth? You're saying it goes away when I die? Nope.It will help my family. Why should I donate money to some poor guy I don't even know? Who would you rather see happy, your family or some random homeless guy? In return my family respects and honors me.
Why can't they work? Not my fault you don't have an education.
Because your wealth lies on a basis of manipulated and controlled economy and all your hard work could be swept away by a single political bill or something like that (the same happened to the hard working german people before WWII). So all the time you spend in getting wealthier was more or less invested in a illusion instead of the real thing. As long as you can provide food and shelter to your family, there is no need for other "wealthy" things.
@TrephineTheMalformed Yeah, well, that's cool and all, but when you're living in a third world country, you only make enough for food & shelter anyways. And that is a big thing in itself.
I don't work to get wealthier.I just work hard to keep things going, and I'm rather content with that.
@bfmvshinigami Actually, i'd rather see everyone happy. We are all one family, one species of life. When you step back and look at civilization as a whole, you realize we are all one, and there is no need for the separation that you see yourself embodying. There's more than enough for everyone, so share! :D
@jordanduchnycz You know, all what you said sounds good on paper.Stuff that authors write to encourage people and keep them going.
See, I'm being realistic. You were born in a developed country. There's a lot of freedom there.Try living in a 3rd world country, like India. It's hard to explain people when they're from a totally different background from mine.
You have a idealist view. And having such views is perfectly fine. But expecting them to come into fruition is being overoptimistic
@jordanduchnycz Thousands of years of civilization and yet man has to become properly civilized.Wars always kept waging.Even ingenious civilizations couldn't keep people content for long.
As you are preaching these parables, there is massive conflict going on in the middle east.Hundreds dying everyday. Iran,Syria,Egypt,Israel...Basically the whole of the middle east.
You can't ignore something so big right? I'm not saying making everyone happy is impossible. It's just a far fetched dream.GL.
@bfmvshinigami I'm pretty sure you didn't lay the roads you drive on or teach yourself how to read. you did get help along the way from other people. It's insulting to those who built those roads, took away your garbage weekly, those who taught you what you need to know along the way. No one gets anywhere on their own. We are a creature that lives best in a society.
@lvmonkey77 Yes, I did receive help. I paid taxes for the road to be laid. I gave my teachers their fees. Garbage guy gets his salary at due time as well. And I'm thankful to all of them
A principle of society is that you never get anything for free. What is some poor homeless guy contributing for me?
On the other hand, I'll GLADLY,I repeat, GLADLY, pay him even if he does a little bit of work that helps me or the society in any way.But when you're just sitting on the street doing nothing, nope
@bfmvshinigami In case if you haven't thought about it yet, inanimate objects like money are worth nothing when you compare it to the entire world of people.
@brujito113 That's easy to say when you're from a developed country and the government is willing to give welfare checks and/or a place to live if you're poor etc. Try living in a third world country.People matter, yes. But survival comes first and in such countries you only make enough for food and shelter.Try to think of the dark side of the world too....
@bfmvshinigami The dark side of the world is dark for a reason, greed, fear, worry -- I'm not blaming them for their fears as they are understandably caused, the answer is to give, grow, and help, love -- as you help another, your rewards increase tenfold compared to when you take from another, as that other can now help you and infinitely more people who can continue helping more and more people
@bfmvshinigami imagine having bunches of little pieces of paper. and alot of metal round and small objects. they are no value to you. the same with money, think about it, dollars is pieces of paper, that is true, and pennies and nickles and coins, are metal, round objects. money is the same as no value.
@bfmvshinigami You may consider yourself a successful person but with such ideas I can reassure you that you are going to be a failed human. Those who told you that money make you successful are those who want you to work for them so they can sit on their asses all day long and print money. Just to be clear a person is not a human, it is something less because it lacks empathy, it can't feel what others feel, and it doesn't have individuality, it belongs to the flock.
@emel0n you know, It's easy to sit on your computer and write philosophical bullshit on the internet. Like I said, you haven't lived in severe poverty to understand my point.
Sure, money is just paper. But when a simple piece of paper can buy you food & shelter, that's what you're gonna want.
Also, I'm not implying money made me successful. But It atleast saved me from being a homeless hobo on the street.
My main concern is why should I donate to random unknown people, when it can help family
@bfmvshinigami Well if you had actually paid attention to the "philosophical bullshit" you would understand that supporting your family is not your problem, your problem is that you can't feel what others feel, you lack empathy. Because society is full of people like you, people like me seal the food leftovers in a separate plastic bag because my trashcan is someone's else launch box, and that makes me feel like shit because I don't have enough to give to everyone.
@bfmvshinigami You ask why donate to strange people? Because if you don't help them they might end up like you? Useful for a company but useless to live with. The "other" person on the street is just a "you" without money, by helping him you help yourself, you relief him momentary from his burdens and you prove to yourself that you are a better person than all those you met because you gave something that wasn't given to you, a friendly hand....
@bfmvshinigami That is the difference between a strong person and a weak one. The strong ones use their strength to help those in need, the weak ones try to hold every piece of power and authority they have so they can "rise" above the others. You gave me nothing but I am giving you something that I regard very vital for your evolution, I don't expect something in return because by helping you I help myself, if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
@bfmvshinigami what jordan said is true. whats the point of even having money if the world around you is collapsing on itself. and it isnt just money its love and honesty if you dont want to give your money thats fine .. but if you do decide to give why not just give time and help those in need.. no money required :)
@70n3wy012k I actually try my best to help poor people.. But money... nope. They just use it to fund their drug addiction.Would rather donate food and I would only if they somehow help/work me.
@bfmvshinigami You demand others to help you, before helping them. That is exactly what this world has brought to this place. Stop being greedy and give, what is more important? To see people smiling or to see people despising you?
@bfmvshinigami its not about your money or things its about loving one another, what good is your money when everything collapses and its only worth toilet papaer or fire starter...when what you have is worthless how will you buy help from the ones who know how to survive?....hopefully you wont need to...hopefully they will have more love for you than you are showing....watch Zietgiest or a resource based economy format...they are awesome.
@bfmvshinigami the important thing is not to treat the others how you were treated. not to give away everything that you have. you can help them by being a model. that works better than 5$ in a weird bank account.
@bfmvshinigami I'm not going to belittle you for the way you think, because it shows much honesty. You were left alone but loved by your family so you give to them. That is wonderful. But consider this, someone somewhere is growing up "poor as shit" and no one is helping them. When they become succesfful they will not give. Then the cycle continues. Keep this in mind.
@bfmvshinigami I agree with Jordan on a lot of things and I love spirit science (not saying he is wrong here though) I consider myself an Objectivist and I am self made like you (not a millionaire, not even 6 figures yet but a great living for a 22 year old) no one says or is forcing you to donate money to anyone, however if you chose to its a good thing. If you don't want to help the poor why don't you donate to cancer research? Or maybe help poor kids become sucessful
@bfmvshinigami - It is not that wealth is not important. Consider we are all born with different strengths. Yet we are born on a monopoly board and not everyone is good at playing monopoly. Good for you for being a success at this game. Others may not have your skill. Have you ever seen a blind man signing a terrible song trying to make some money? So what can we do? Can you teach them your game? Can you divy up the wealth? We are a unit and the game wouldnt be fun if we didnt have each other.
@bfmvshinigami The money is an illusion, created as a mean of control as all the doctrines being taught to every human on earth, put in place and are working perfectly as designed since people don't even react that people are dying around them by the hand of the people that is us, inbox thinking and belief in moneygods are set up accordingly and your mind is clearly inprisoned as planned.
Erm... IN THE COMING YEARS AS THE WORLD COLLAPSES!!!!!! did you lot miss that?? She says it as she knows it's going to happen. Can you see into the future or something here patchette? In the End we lose it all, but yet we are will to kill each other for it. An Amazing Parable that shows the evil we do for all this that we do not get to keep. This could be your best Series yet, so Simple but yet deliver so much Knowledge to-date. God bless. Proverbs and Psalms has some great Parables I enjoy and only those with True Sight of Life will discover their Meanings that will give great Strength to those who Understand. God bless you all!
i don't think this parable is entirely true, here on earth we build our "sandcastles" so we can leave something for the world and most importantly our predecessors
She-patch works. I can't imagine Patchgirl being any better.
Regardless, I'm really glad to see you put out new videos like these. Inciting a discussions with more characters than your own Patchman really works, although should probably stay separate from Spirit Science. Just some thoughts :D
She-patch's eyes.... they speak to me, they tell me to like and stay tuned for more enlightenment. Great videos Jordan keep up the great work and keep on your adventure.
a democrat and rebulican were walking along a street and they come upon a beggar. the republican thinks "he must be down on his luck and just needs a little compassion" and gives the man 20$. the democrat sees this and thinks"wow that was a nice thing to do" then he asks the republican for 50$s and gives it to the beggar..
Are people seriously complaining about a name?! I think She-patch is perfect. You should pay attention to the message NOT something little and unimportant like a name. This is a perfect example for the vide, how people get so worked up over little things and end up missing the big picture.
At the end of the game.....all the pieces go back in the box! Same in life. No matter how much you have won during the game....it all goes back in the box at the end. living your life for the material things is stupid. Sharing makes your heart grow....you know like the Grinch! LOL
@jordanduchnycz lol good point :P still, I like patch-woman better. For some reason I think of the she-hulk when people put "she" in front of everything to make it feminine. Just seems like a bit of a rip off, like they don't get their own name. But whats done is done :)
@NeoWakko true. Everyone gangin up on me! sorry i just felt like pointing it out thats all! :P either way, the actual message is what's important so lets just forget i said anything :)
@Shaktigrooves good times.... isn't that He-man? or maybe Thundarr the Barbarian? Didn't get to see them that much, but I did see He man since I was 2 :)
In another video you were wondering whether or not the Occupy Movement was the sort of Waking up and start of all change or if It was just the calm before the storm. Now "Shepatch" has said that "in the coming years as the world collapses". The NWO has started, things are getting worse every day because of it. Is that what 'Shepatch" is talking about? How do you guys feel about being hungry all the time and watching your body eat itself alive? I'm going to keep my knife handy to end it quick.
@cssaddict17 There is more than enough food available within a few miles of your home, you just need to know how to look for it. Besides, our bodies are only vessels for our souls. I like to keep my vessel in top condition, but ultimately I would not miss it if I were to lose it. Love and Light <3
I was talking about the effects of the state of the world post-NWO (NEW WORLD ORDER). Not now, I have plenty of food now. Please re-read my comment and try to reply appropriately.
@cssaddict17 So, the NWO are going to destroy everything on the planet? My comment is still appropriate, when Society collapses and you can't go to the supermarket any more there will still be food growing everywhere, you just need to know how to look for it. <3
One thing that disturbs me about our society(U.S) is how all the food, water ,clothing and other resource easily go to the wealthy. While the poor have to beg in order to get by. I do not mean say that all wealthy people are natural greedy or evil.
so what are some thoughts on keeping things that hold signification emotional value? like a token a loved one gave that is now diciest. or the principal of giving your last dollar, as apposed to giving 1% of your monthly income, which ends up being $100? like Jesus's parable of the widow and the temple offering.
@TheBasslinekilla Well that's up to you to decide. Do you feel you're ready to let go of the trinket because it no longer serves you? Or do you feel that it still holds emotional value and is something you want to cherish.
@jordanduchnycz yeah, makes sense. i guess the purpose said object would serve would be as a reminder, as well as a physical manifestation of love. but I've heard that you should be careful of what value you give to physical objects, because most things are finite, and can not outlast the the emotions they stand for.
@TheBasslinekilla Things do not represent people we love. When my Mother died, my 4 brothers and sisters ravaged all her things and took everything when I asked for just 1 thing to remember her by they told me NEVER! they are taking it all. I was sad for month's. but somehow I realized Mother was with me she told me every time I look in the mirror I have what she gave me. She was gentle, Kind and sensitive and loving, non judgmental. I have the best of her. :) things are fake Love never is.
@Oriannubis woah that sounds horrible! It's like they forgot who the stuff belonged to in the first place. I hope I can learn to move on when someone in my family dies. Best of luck to you :)
If sand on the beach is finite, you might well be afraid of your sand being lost to someone else as an acquisition who's cost is an externality. If you can't produce a claim of right on each grain, or doing so for each grain will cost you more sand than it gains then you can turn to the foreign sand market, yet you may find that the sand you thought you purchased is swallowed up by dirt or pebble derivatives.
Is this Buddhist kindergarten? Perhaps the viewers or your target audience is a little younger than me. Lovely story though, one may be willing to share and care, live a life coming from that ethos and some people will still choose to act towards you in a aggressive ,grasping and greedy way.Sorry I don't see the mass transformation of humanity happening in the next "few" years. To believe this is actually probable is idealistic to say the least. Just believing in something does not make it so.
i believe in the idea of a free world, a world free of money that is, and i believe that with the right amount of self-control and self-understanding we can have a functional anarchy of course this dream will never come to pass because humans suffer from a natural greediness that makes us think it illogical to give just to give and work just because you like your job
More thought provoking, perhaps, though less informative. In fact, it's not entirely fair to compare this to spirit science. That was a lecture, this is a discussion.
lol patchbaby looked funny. i think this series could turn out pretty nice. you should make a parable of the "lost horse" or "blessing or bane" its the same one but ive seen them by both names. its a pretty nice one
@ZayLong It's not bad to accept things out of love, because it fills you up inside, and then you can express that love to others (or return it to the same person) in another way! :)
Nobody makes it in this world alone. People like to think they built their sandcastle by their own means when in reality that needed others to make it happen. If you are a business owner consider your employees were taught in public schools. Consider the roads that are provided by public means. Consider the laws that protect your business.

She-Patch is a cutey! Why are people so fast to point the "hateful" finger? There's not thing wrong with "She-patch"!

a democrat and rebulican were walking along a street and they come upon a beggar. the republican thinks "he must be down on his luck and just needs a little compassion" and gives the man 20$. the democrat sees this and thinks"wow that was a nice thing to do" then he asks the republican for 50$s and gives it to the beggar..

oh by the way - a passing thought -> not all sand-castles are built from material possessions. Some are built on ideals / causes / beliefs. right?

Are people seriously complaining about a name?! I think She-patch is perfect. You should pay attention to the message NOT something little and unimportant like a name. This is a perfect example for the vide, how people get so worked up over little things and end up missing the big picture.

KingComparx 2 months ago 2
@jordanduchnycz lol good point :P still, I like patch-woman better. For some reason I think of the she-hulk when people put "she" in front of everything to make it feminine. Just seems like a bit of a rip off, like they don't get their own name. But whats done is done :)

I'm going to keep my knife handy to end it quick.
cssaddict17 2 months ago
@cssaddict17 There is more than enough food available within a few miles of your home, you just need to know how to look for it. Besides, our bodies are only vessels for our souls. I like to keep my vessel in top condition, but ultimately I would not miss it if I were to lose it. Love and Light <3
UniversalTruths 2 months ago
@UniversalTruths
I was talking about the effects of the state of the world post-NWO (NEW WORLD ORDER). Not now, I have plenty of food now. Please re-read my comment and try to reply appropriately.
cssaddict17 2 months ago

TheBasslinekilla 2 months ago 2
@TheBasslinekilla Well that's up to you to decide. Do you feel you're ready to let go of the trinket because it no longer serves you? Or do you feel that it still holds emotional value and is something you want to cherish.
jordanduchnycz 2 months ago
@jordanduchnycz yeah, makes sense. i guess the purpose said object would serve would be as a reminder, as well as a physical manifestation of love. but I've heard that you should be careful of what value you give to physical objects, because most things are finite, and can not outlast the the emotions they stand for.
TheBasslinekilla 2 months ago
@TheBasslinekilla Things do not represent people we love. When my Mother died, my 4 brothers and sisters ravaged all her things and took everything when I asked for just 1 thing to remember her by they told me NEVER! they are taking it all. I was sad for month's. but somehow I realized Mother was with me she told me every time I look in the mirror I have what she gave me. She was gentle, Kind and sensitive and loving, non judgmental. I have the best of her. :) things are fake Love never is.

If sand on the beach is finite, you might well be afraid of your sand being lost to someone else as an acquisition who's cost is an externality. If you can't produce a claim of right on each grain, or doing so for each grain will cost you more sand than it gains then you can turn to the foreign sand market, yet you may find that the sand you thought you purchased is swallowed up by dirt or pebble derivatives.
... I'm just saying it can happen. o.0

It's funny...I was in a situation just like this.
But isn't it easy to be generous when you have allot? And not so easy when your have little?
I think you need to be sensibly generous within reason. There is no sense giving everything if you make yourself poor.
But I DO believe the planning starts NOW.
Saving a portion of your salary *roughly 15% each time will give you ample safe charity. This is a very Jewish mindset.
