  • good idea! good job!

  • @funkiershit Thanks! If I could change something about the screen, I would. I wish I could design my own screen from scratch and have a factory make it for me or something. Then I would be really really satisfied. :)

  • nice job man. very impressed how professional your modification looks.

  • I say go no windscreen. Looks really cool. =P I think the cool factor is worth fighting the wind.

  • @CoolCrazyChaos Mee too! Haha

  • very nice job toasty toast! if i need something done on my windscreen i'm gonna get you to do it for me..

  • @TmanDmc Alright dude. Sounds like a plan.

  • looks good

  • Wow that really looks great! Way to make lemonade there buddy...

  • Cool, good to see you were able to customize it and make it work for you. :D

  • Nice job! I wound up cutting down the generic fly screen that I installed on my 919 two times. After removing the first inch and a half or so, the wind blast was hitting right at the base of my helmet. Pretty noisy. I took off another inch or so, and everything's peachy!

  • BTW......how is the wind on the new screen?

  • Nice job! I need to get a dremel. Crazy how handy those things are.

  • wow, dude. That looks amazing! You've got the right idea about opening a gear shop. I was thinking of doing the same in Cottonwood, AZ. There is nothing up in Northern AZ without going all the way to Flagstaff or down to Phoenix. We have a Kawi dealer that usually has nothing what so ever for gear and accessories. Should open a Cycle Gear where you are!

  • I was waiting to cringe and I was disappointed....not that we were all waiting for another another seat modification to add to the youtube urban mythology.

  • nicely done.

    good job :)

  • Looks great!

  • Looks better without a windscreen at all lol xD

  • @Snowythebear I'm not gonna lie, I really did like the way it looked without a screen also.

  • Looks good but did you not like the stock wind protection?

  • @britex3186 I have a Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen that I normally use for great wind protection. I purchased this screen from eBay because I thought it was a stock windscreen. I like the looks of the stock windscreen. Unfortunately the one they advertised was actually this monstrous Givi that I did not need. So I just decided to make it look the way I wanted it to look.

  • Looks good Scott. Oddly, I'm looking for a bigger windshield for mine while you're cutting yours off =-)

  • @L0udP1p35 Haha, I'm hoping I can use this during summertime.

  • @L0udP1p35 same here, thinking laminar lip for the ole KLR. need just a tad more deflection

  • What? No wind tunnel tests?

  • why did you shorten the windscreen?

  • @warezvz Mainly for looks.

  • nicely done:) modded looks much better.

  • Excellent work mate, that really came up trumps!!! I'll be interested in your feedback about how the Givi performs at speed once you get on the road again. There's a Givi option for the 919 I might consider so your feedback will be most welcome. Cheers and well done!!!

  • Nice job mr DIY. With that trim back on you'd never know.

  • @houltmac Thanks. Yeah the trim really cleaned it up.

  • Good thing u never travel cuz short windscreens make the bike more turbulent. ;P *runs* Just kidding sir. Seriously tho, im really freakin impressed! After that seat fiasco ;P i was pretty worried when i started watching this but u really were like all super custom t-rex toast on this one man. Really seriously legit slick looking job my friend! I can see it now, Toasts custom motorcycle shop and dealership since theres none in williamsturd.

  • @woodenchairs Lolol very very funny. This went a lot better than my seat modification, although less practical. Man...I think I really would like to open a dealership/gear store. They don't have any here!!

  • @ToastToGo do it man. Get a business loan and do it. Then i can move to somewhere warmer and work for u :P Just think, no boss, doing something youd enjoy, and no more school :D

  • @woodenchairs im down. lol.

  • looks a million bucks mate, nice work.

  • Looks like it went a little better then the seat modification ;-)

  • @orangefoam123 Haha I agree.

  • You actually did a pretty decent job on that, looks great.

  • very nice!

  • Good job, nice save!

  • Can you come over and do mine :-)

  • @criticsview Sure thing! Can't say it will look pretty though.

  • Are you going to let me take it out for a test ride?

  • @cashstore1 Maaaaybee

  • Turned out good! well done!

  • really cool mod but just wondering what made you decide to put a clear stock windscreen back on and how long did it take you to do this?

  • @WildBill1006 I enjoy the low profile look. I wanted a shorter and sexier screen for summertime. I'm still using my Zero Gravity screen for winter.

  • Thats pretty cool

  • LOL dots.

  • wow looks real clean! All you guys with VFRs are making me imagine selling my bike and getting a NEW 07-08 with 0=miles from a certain dealership. BUUUT not going to happen lol

  • @SuperDrake79 It's a great bike...but it's a heavy thing.

  • looks sweet dude. If the scratches aren't too deep, you might be able to buff them out.

  • @alehax27 They aren't deep at all. I'm hoping to refinish it.

  • That looks really nice but I'm curious how it will protect you from the wind, without that lip you might get extra buffeting near your collar.

  • @nickjNRG I'm not sure...I hope it doesn't buffet bad.
