AIRBUS uses huge amounts of electronics on their planes. In my opinion, too many! I believe they aren't as safe as BOEING aircraft due to this.

There are 3 main differences that I see:

1. Airbus uses more composite materials versus metal. We don't have the history with the failure of composites, so we don't understand them as well. Also, the tail sections of some Airbuses may not be secured as well due to composite lugs.

2. Airbus takes the pilot out of the loop more and relies on the computer to make decisions.

3. Airbus sends data by wireless in case of emergency, which why we have any data at all on this crash.

Why dont they let people use parachutes? Whenever there is such problem, people can jump off after the pilot takes the plane to a particular height. They may not be able to do this if the plane explodes suddenly. But otherwise it is such a plausible solution. Survival rate would be atleast 50%. The debris was found after 3 hours anyway. It would be more heartening to find survivors. Please start this new procedure and give passengers chutes in addition to safety vests which are never used.

IMO, i think the pilot flew a bit too close to the dedline of the Bermuda Triangle, which then led to an electrial failure....but dnno how it crashed into the ocean?? did all engines go out??? nobody knows yet....
