  • GOD!

  • The best there ever was.

  • Incredible

  • What a beautiful car that is!

  • my god...with the whole traffic...1 sec...kkkkkk just amazing

  • what is also nice is carl orff's "carmina burana. we dont need ugly v12 sounds do we? jezus

  • 1 seg on 1:19:218 to 1:47:813??? WTF ... 1 second in 28 seconds on last part of lap ? oO

    Senna best driver ever!!!

  • I don't know if this already had the music or you added it, but it ruined and otherwise great video.

  • Véi a música cagou o vídeo...

  • @MEDEIROSJR007 pode crer mano

  • Great video but the only music we should be earing it was that honda v12.....

  • 55 deslikes? (Schumacher or Prost fans.)

  • No-one could put it down like Senna and no-one ever will.

  • Brilliant! I will never get tired of watching that man making the road his bitch!

  • fantastic

  • flat out at Eau Rouge! of course, he was Senna... We miss you so much!

  • 55 people weren't able to see him dancing with the car

  • It was also clear that everyone who noticed tried to get out of the way as quick as possible. The bright McLaren with the bright yellow helmet was already legendary and noone wanted to spoil that last lap of hes.

  • @tilus75 If the rules back then were anything like they are now, they were just avoiding a penalty for holding up a car while they weren't on a hot lap.

Oh and fuck this music. For the love of god, engine noises only, please.

  • It was a heavily compromised lap. At the bus stop he had to completely abandon the racing line, that is at least a few tenths in it still, yet it was a pole lab by a sec. Genius at the wheel.

  • shame hes not alive today hed own vettel hamilton and button any day even if he was an old age pensioner his skills were god like behind the wheel of an f1 car

  • Maximum maximum maximum attack. Senna was stunning, incredible. The best

  • Great senna

  • Honda powered by Senna.

  • At that speed 1:18 = balls.

  • Comment removed

  • They had 3.5 v10s back then vs nowadays 2.4 v8s. The thing was that drivers could stand out the field with grip mastering despite lack of power(which Senna almost always did, think of the 1992 season:(). Today's a mockery of techno gizmos where sponsors race....sad. But some guys managed to rock anyways: Kubica, Alonso, Button, Vettel !

  • Beautiful lap, although he over-cooked it at the exit to the bus stop chicane?!

  • racing like this was so fantastic!

no driving aids just man and machine and the road...

i so wish i had the chance to see this for real

  • fantastico

  • It must be said that you needed balls bigger than grapefruits to drive Spa the way Senna did back then.

  • This is the REAL F1...yeah, golden era.

  • I may stand corrected but i think this is Qualifying for Spa 1991, Senna's time was 1:47.811.

Car is the McLaren MP4/6. No turbo as banned.

  • Comment removed

  • Best ever driver and best ever track.

  • Sequential McLaren 6 speed Gearbox...Turbo Charged HONDA V6..... McLaren Chasis...... Belgium SPA.....Ayrton Senna in the Cockpit..... Need I Say More.........

  • @898orion it's not a turbo is a honda v10 ou v12

  • top the top!!!

  • Legend! Respect!

  • perfect choice of music i wish f1 was more like the golden era :/

  • Ele estilingou total nessa volta! Uma das mais fantásticas e charmosas deste mundo! Mto foda Spa!

  • On a little side note, anyone notice how the Pagani Zonda R sounds like the F1 cars of this era. On topic, Senna is beyond human, that car looks like it's way faster than todays cars.

  • This guy always pushed it to the limit.

  • Ayrton Senna: a driver who made cars sound like planes

  • Driver, car, track = perfect³

  • THAT is f1

  • ...anda muito!!!

  • the track isn't the same at now @JeoDubz

  • @MrGrandino

The biggest change to Spa is the Bus Stop Chicane it's now much tighter and trickier, Eau Rouge has been made a bit tighter as well, the rest of the corners are the same, except that they have lower curbs and are smoother. With a much shorter wheelbase of that era's cars the current Bus Stop Chicane and Eau Rouge would be easier to negotiate than with the current cars.

    @Balnazzardi

He had the pole position and won at Spa from 88-91. By the look of the cars though I would say 1990.

  • from what year is this?

  • Great video. Genius

  • I have chills

  • ohhh i remember seeing that picture of Ayrton at 0:23 always when watching Formula One :( we miss you Ayrton

  • LISTEN TO THAT NOISE! And were going to 6 cylinders.... fuck the fia man

  • Qual o nome da musica ? (Whats name this song?)

  • Vídeo espetacular, Senna foi o melhor piloto que já existiu.

  • larger SPA, overpassing slow pace cars messing around and through the dust _ i liked this combination of chassis, engine and driver _ Golden Era

  • @ej20daZe don't forget the tyres that had alot less grip that the modern f1 cars

  • really great!!

  • Still faster then Mark Webber's 1:49.883 last year

  • @JeoDubz and the track is shorter now too.

  • Comment removed

  • @JeoDubz but the 3 third sector is now longer

  • @JeoDubz the final chicane of the track is completely different to now though, much faster, but you probs already know that

  • @JeoDubz yea but don`t forget that car has alot more hp

  • @JeoDubz

    diverend track boys, bb realitick

  • @JeoDubz Lets not forget that the bus-stop chicane is quite a bit faster in comparison to the new chicane.

  • @JeoDubz 1:47.263 was set by sebastian vettel though, but seba is only a couple tenths faster....

  • @851995STARGATE you can't compare both.....different era, different cars, different rules, different technology, just too many different things so it would be like comparing an F1 to a GT car....

  • @JeoDubz yeah..... but the track is a little bit different....

  • @kkkT25 the kerbs are bigger and they changed last corner.. 1st corner had no runoffs before also the straight after eau rouge has broken lines.

  • @JeoDubz You do realize the circuit was different and had no chicane at the s/f straight right.....

  • @JeoDubz Kind of irrelevant considering all the rule changes since then. There are probably 50 new rules that slow the cars down in one way or another since then.

  • @Plur307 you do know that current slick tire technology and an extra 3000 lb of downforce shave off many seconds from 90s era, right? Today's cars are ridiculously more aero developed compared to back then. Not even close, despite the # of restrictions, the birth of CFD, huge computer processing power and intense windtunnel correlation and aero understanding is incomparable to the cars senna drove

  • @Shadowboost I completely agree with you. I never said today's cars were slower. What I'm saying is that without the numerous rules that slow modern cars down the modern era cars would be ridiculously faster than the 90's cars. Probably so fast that the driver would become the weak link (like a modern jet fighter). Comparing cars and lap times of that era and today's era is just silly. They are totally different machines.

  • @Plur307 without restrictions the cars would be unreal. Pressure suits and computer collision prevention systems would be needed. I can't even fully imagine what the cars would be like

  • @JeoDubz "Only" 2 seconds!!! oO

  • @JeoDubz Different track layout, though...

  • @JeoDubz 46 people plus you, dont know shit about f1 ;-(

  • @TheMagnatar You don't know shit about me to make a comment like that.

  • @JeoDubz well your comment comparing a laptime of twenty years ago would say otherwise. Other than that I would say your prob a wonderful human being ;-)

  • @JeoDubz

The track was different on that year, more fast. But Senna is the best.

  • @JeoDubz Not faster than 1:45.108 - K Raikkonen (2004)

  • @buzonperiodista The cars now are much easier to drive...

This is a stupid thing to say...

  • @Polartorque Webber's or Kimi's?

  • @buzonperiodista Kimi moreso than Webber due to TC...

But even back then the cars were much harder to drive than anything after the 2000's

  • @buzonperiodista 2004? o.O wake up! srsrsr

  • Senna's & Honda's engine = perfect partner

  • Really best pilot of the world ! look magic handling and fast speed for the all circuit. Best of the best ! ever

  • soundtrack id ?

  • Wich is faster? The new or the old busstop chicane..

  • Just Wow. What year was this?

  • @Nickomfacc

    1990.

  • @antstero It's 1991, that McLaren has a V12.

  • i miss the spirit that Senna had.

who understand the gap of speed see this is a perfect lap, with those cars,

in the full concentrarion of this man.

    i like this.

  • God that Honda scream like alpha male

  • Formula 1=Power ! Not Aerodynamic !

  • So i'ts done.:)

  • when i die and move on he is the first person i will get in contact with, what a hero

  • @MsUpandatom If I get there first I'll make sure we come and pick you up at the gates.

  • @petecockcroft deal! :)

  • fantastic footage

  • senna leave people saying "how is that possible"

    love you ayrton !

  • as a backmarker in those days, you knew if you saw that mclaren with the yellow helmet of senna... you got out of the fucking way!

nobody wants to be the guy who ruined the lap everyone was there to see.

  • Comment removed

  • Imagine being a back marker and knowing Ayrton was on the track. id be looking in my mirror the whole time with butterflys in my tummy.

  • Just to watch him passing between the two other cars after eau rouge you can be sure of whats going to be the whole lap... FANTASTIC!

  • Faster than everyone

  • Fantastic car sound

  • Even Usain Bolt Can't follow Senna around there

  • If you had the choice to drive one car and one car only , which of the following would you pick ;-- Senna's iconic turbo monster the JPS 98T OR the MP4/4 considered the greatest racing car of all time ........... ?

  • Background music is gay, and only serves as a distraction....

  • @mattis40 yea why on earth has this video been partly ruined by crappy music. we want pure engine noise

  • Magic!!!Senna

  • Sweet, of all the different changes Spa has gone through through all the years it held a F1 race during modern time:

Lap record 1:45.108 (Finland Kimi Räikkönen, McLaren, 2004) Viva La Finland!!! ^^

  • Faster than Vettel!

  • @NOXXism The McLaren honda had about double the power of current F1s. You asshole.

  • @Axilur Shut the fuck up you fucking idiot obviously you don't know shit about formula 1. You are just an asshole that thinks he knows everything. Listen, you idiot, the MP4/5B had 690hp while the current 2400cc engines develop 720hp. Asshole, don't post another comment about F1 because you clearly don't know anything.ç about Formula 1. Dick.

  • @NOXXism Was this not the McLaren MP4/6 in the video?

  • @noonelikeskat from the tags the clip is from 1990 so they used the MP4/5B. The MP4/6 was used in 1991.

  • @NOXXism I hate all those stupid so-called Senna fans who say that his car had over 1000bhp. The McLaren MP4/4 only had 650bhp with additional 250bhp from the overboost. The one with over 1000bhp were meant for qualifying purposes. By the way, this is the McLaren MP4/6 not the MP4/5.

  • @rvind92g Yeah, they don't know crap about F1 and they still think they were using turbos in the 90's. And this video is from 1990, and the MP4/6 was only used in 1991.

  • @NOXXism @NOXXism In 1990, Senna did a pole lap of 1:50.365. In 1991, Senna did 1:47.811. You can tell by the sound in this video it's a V12. Not the V10 of 1990s. Check on Wikipedia.

  • @rvind92g Oh, you're right. I guess the tags were wrong then. It is indeed the MP4/6

  • @Axilur Are you retarded? The McLaren Honda MP4/5 produces about 700bhp whereas the McLaren Honda MP4/4 produces 650bhp with an additional overboost feature giving 250bhp for a short period of time. Today's F1 cars do about 750bhp with additional 80bhp from the KERS system.

  • for ever the best. wir werden dich nie vergessen

  • Fagne and Blanchimont over the perfection

  • @azmichael34

He needed extra pit crew to carry his balls around, actually.

  • THERES SOME PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE THAT REALLY HATE SENNA ;I DONT KNOW WHY BUT I BELIEVE CAUSE THEY THINK THEY KNOW MORE ABOUT F1 HISTORY AND PROBABLY THEY WATCHED MORE LIVE RACES BUT THATS NOTHING ABOUT HOW AYRTON CAN CONTROL A MONSTER ENGINE WITH A LIGHT CAR WITH NO NORMAL TC.so to all you ignorant ,can suck it. p.s bytheway this ass¤"#¤# has a channel and doesnt allow commentaries and thumps ,simply A COWARD

  • ohh i want that ID picture of Senna that appears! I havent seen that since i was a kid

  • sono passati tanti anni ormai, ma la memoria resta viva e quello che ci hai dato non lo dimenticheremo mai.

    CIAO CAMPIONE!!!!

  • awesome!!

  • The best F1 driver for all times FIA never had better driver. Senna is dead but if you watch this video in 2012 you will say "He is the best driver for all times". In 2011 we have DRS, KERS and they can't beat Senna's time. Thumbs up if this is true

  • @rosen97Lewis

I will also point out that current F1 engines are a downgrade on these currently used. Dosent matter if you have a massive nitrous button, if your engine is made of cheese...

  • @rosen97Lewis The McLaren honda had about double the power of current F1s. I'd say that the progress in technology is generally good ;)

  • Yes, the Ford engine proved to be not as powerful as Renault but still it's not only about horsepower. The MP4/8 was shorter and lighter with a lot of downforce making it very fast in corners. Todays cars uses 2.4 lit engines, longer wheelbase, smaller tires and less downforce making them not much faster but a lot more reliable and safer to drive than early 90's cars.

  • @fredrik999z Less downforce than 90´s cars? You're mad out of your brains.

  • I got absolute thrills of joy, and tears of joy when watching this. THANKS! Very nice edit!

  • absoulute freak

  • why the fuck is their music on this video.

  • making up a second in the last sector with traffic? fuck me sideways.

  • Schumacher 2002 Lap Record : 1:47.176 (Same circuit layout as 1993)

    Vettel 2009 Lap Record : 1:47.263

    Raikkonen 2005 Circuit Lap Record : 1:45.108

Senna in 1993 : 1:47.813 -- Not much difference is there?

Moral : 17 years of enormous technological evolution and it still wouldn't have been enough against Senna.

Who knows how fast he might have gone in today's F1 cars?

  • @srinitaaigaura Simple.. Thas why the Senna is called of THE LEGEND. ... Vettlel, Shumi ,Hamilton ,drives like me ,if i had there lifes. I play Simulation and i am normaly fast. i dont ned to take sirious to be fast . But Senna looks like a angel reborned to be a pilot. As you said, 17 years later got 1,46,xx ,And we know today´s engines have almost same HPs. and today´s car have a lot more grip.

  • @srinitaaigaura Probably not much faster. The McLaren MP4/8 is one of the fastest F1 cars ever made. Look at the huge tires and airwings combine with the powerful 3.5 lit engine. Today cars are much more regulated by safety rules and economic cost.

  • @fredrik999z What the fuck are you talking about? The McLaren MP4/8 was a shit car! It had a Ford engine, thats pretty self explanatory. The aerodynamics of the early 1990 cars were shit compared to today.

  • @srinitaaigaura @AyrtonSennaFan97 It's different cars, different track layout and different regulations, which means it is impossible to compare you fucktards.

  • @srinitaaigaura This isnt 1993? Its 1991.

  • Senna could do a better lap that day if he wanted, he did pole in his second lap of the qualifying and came back to the pits..... What a brutal engine makes modern F1 looks sterile, even without kers, drs .....that machines were very technical

  • at 1:22 he even didnt enter the corner through the apex and he did that amazing lap!

  • @12Cyclone Its a bus stop chicane dude, the fastest line through that corner is to actually hug it inside as the right turn almost instantly after the initial left isnt that severe.

  • Great song, (Cathar Rhythm - Era) even greater skills of driving an F1 car!!!! We all miss you Ayrton!!!! RIP

  • Senna the best of the best .. RIP!!

    title of the song??

  • I was wondering, the change they made on the circuit, with that last chicane, does that have a positive or negative influence on the lap times? I seem to remember record lap time is 1:45, set by Raikonnen, is that just because of the car or does that change play a part in it?

  • @wimpiedimpie it has a negative influence. i mean just look how fast you can drive through the chicane. In the new chicane you have to slow down to 100 kph or lower.

  • I can say only two things, nothing else can be said...Senna you are the greatest and we miss you

  • What a wonderful lap!!!

    sorry my english...

  • There is the good , there is the great and then there is Senna . Was and still is THE MAN !

  • @thehitchrules Who do you think taught Chuck how to drive!? :P

  • We miss you Senna...

  • "Deus tirou a mão da Fórmula Um," disse Niki Lauda.«God had taken His hand of Formula 1» dais Niki Lauda. All is said .

  • why does GOD always take the BEST so soon? :(

  • @GreatWhiteCY because god need them !
