dude motocross is one of the hardest sports to train for and some say it is the hardest. RC put so much work into it and came out ontop, thats why he is the GOAT
Number One fan Ricky I liked you ever since i've saw you ride and when I broke my wrist and got to meet you in daytona it just blew my mind you are amazing!
to the group of guys talking about weights lifting low weights with lots of reps will give you muscular endurance while lifting heavy weights with low reps will give you explosive powe and inbetween will give you strength but you should be doing what you need hes probably as strong as he needs to be its muscular endurance you really need for motocross its what i do and it works im noticing massive improvements
anyone notice the giant canvas/poster of james stewart whipping it on the wall...probably where he gets the motivation to do those extra sets or that extra few minutes on the bike ... RC . GOAT bitches
im sorry to say it but im actually not that impressed with his weight training. I dont know what kinda workout hes getting with those five pound weights on that bar. oh well....can dis the guy, hes the GOAT!!!
I'm sure Aldon Baker would be super bummed that johnytornado isn't impressed with his weight training. If you don't know what kind of workout he's getting, it must be worthless. Either that, or RC and AB know more than you about training for mx.
well i actually do the same things hes doing, i just have more than 5 lbs on it. im not trying to dis him or anything. hes my favorite racer ever and has a better training program than almost everyone. he must just must have to do an insane amount of reps to get a workout with that little amount of weight. its not an insult
Cause you know nothing about motocross training just about bodybuilding. I recommend training like it is called bodypump in fittness club. Low weight, lots reps and no rest. Gives you strong but not big muscles.
its not how much you lift its about repitition u can lift 200 punds but if u can only lift it once or twice wat good are u doing> lifting 50 punds 15-20 times ur gonna get a workout!! try training like ricky for a week and see how u feel!
ya except i can lift 200 lbs15 times. if you can only lift 50 lbs 15-20 times, you should proly stick to the pee wees. and im not even that big i way 175lbs. and racing 450s like i do, i think being strong helps alot. i have never gotten arm pump in my life and im always winded before my arms get sore so as far as im concerned, there is no problem to lifting heavier weights. I think as long as your cardio is good, putting in alot of reps with little weight wont benifit you. thats just my opinon

The poster next to the bike? The number plate reads 70 which was RC's rookie year number with Pro Circuit Kawasaki on a KX125 back in 1997.

its a combination of both and what type of muscle you want to build
little weight and lots of reps = lean muscle
lots of weight and little reps = bulk muscle
lots of weight and lots of reps = beast
