There are areas in North America that are so remote that the police will actually give tourists a gun to carry until you reach "civilisation" again.Simply because if there is something wrong the cops will not be able to reach you.

  • Dreams Can Be True

  • "grant yourself yourself a little freedom in the moment"- words to live by.

  • this is why America is the best country in the world. Where else can you see these amazing landscapes all in one place?

  • india, australia, new zealand, russia, africa, brazil loadsa places rude boi!

  • @Poopsmith01 Ehm.. In Europe? It's a contintent, i know. But America's bigger, so that's cheating calling it a country.

  • @bellerina88 Really? does Europe have a grand canyon at one end, deep forests at the other, massive deserts in the southwest, and vast prairies in the middle? Please think before you speak.

  • @Poopsmith01

not to mention temperate rainforests in the northwest, frozen glaciers in alaska, the bayou, come to think of it we've got literally every climate in the world here

  • just an amazing show. *favorited in a playlist* i will watch it again. wonderful insight .

  • This further cements my goal to travel wherever life takes me and take short-time jobs in interesting places after college, before my life gets tied down.

  • 2nd that! Granted im only going to collage but when that falls thru i'll meet you in San Fran!

  • @notthatbasic hey,i know this comment is around a year old but good for you man..i also really aspire to live that life style but feel under pressure by society to live my life like "normal" people and settle down to a 9-5 job, family etc but i find it suppressive and have a constant urge to explore.all the best with your travels mate

  • That was a very good show!

  • "If u aren't governed by fear u can live truthfully & u can find a kind of beauty, but if ur inhibited & fearful u will live a prescriptive existance. Once u get beyond the headonistic 1st impulse of that philosophy u find that u need to focus on something wider, more perminent & beautiful & valuable. I want to do something worth while."

  • @rpowarz It would be a lot nicer if you could spell.

  • @dinksta Please take note to the amount I typed. That forced me to spell with phonectics.

    Feel better yet "dinksta?"

  • To drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. That is SO going on my list of things to do before I die!

  • that guy knows how to use words to express himself, he realy know his vocab

  • yeah it's one of the reasons i love him! he's a fantastic writer-i definitely recommend his autobiography

  • brilliant. STEADY AS SHE GOES!

right so that was a good bit of footage eh

  • beautifulu x

  • For the last four days I have been looking up video clips and performances of Russell B. I just finished this "On the Road" production and I must say it was the best thing he has done so far of all the things I have seen.

  • Its settled-I'm buying that book.

  • I loved this! im from massachusetts and hope to go on a similar journey one day

  • And I'm from California! See you when you get out here lol.

  • yer thats why u just watched all this and have favorited one of his interviews? lol... hes a comedian by the way he has the best job a comedian could have or do u just want him to do something where hes not showing his creativaty so you dont feel so jelous and sorry for yourself?

  • and what are you doing that doesn't make you a cunt? just look at him he is sooo worried about what you think of him.

  • some of the stuff he says is confusing, anyone want to explain in laymans terms? the bit at the start where he says life starts here and ends here blah blah. i understand that he is against capitalism and wants everyone in the world to be united and one, rather then seperated and alone

  • i think he means that spontanaiety and living in the moment dismantles the illusion of time

  • I think hes talking about the journey of life being diconnected with the journey of spirituality

  • Kerouac drank himself to death at 47, in despair at what he thought was the misinterpretation of the Beat ethos by those who followed him. All you college students who idolise this crap take note. Its one thing to be a multi millionaire TV comedian doing route 66 off the back of the UK TV license payer and quite another to survive in a capitalist society as a wage slave which is what we all are.

  • It's one thing to take the often shallow, but well deserved, escapism of the "wage slave" and try to ruin it by pompously asserting that that which you (or Kerouac) took from this journey, is all that can be true and pure.

It's another to accept that which satisfies, enlightens and cheers the average "wage slave" but respectfully try to open their mind to other avenues of spirituality and conscious being.

    Capiche?

  • @niemanickurwa beautiful man, great response to mrchuffy's narrow minded views

  • @24bourney Genius in fact I would say.

  • @mrchuffy doesnt mean you carnt break the mould and also go on a similar search (spiritually),you might feel trapped in that suppressive society but doesnt mean others have to follow suit.

  • brilliant!i want to travel across the US now!woo! russell and matt rock and so does Jack!

  • Thank you so much for posting this, xMissFablex.

  • thank you thank you thank you xMissFablex. i just watched all 7 installments in one sitting and looooved it. just finished reading my booky wook. russell brand would have to be one of the most honest observant funny human beings ever!! we dont get much of him here in aust. well nothin really except the hosting gig of the recent pathetic mtv awards. anyhow thanks again for this fantastic doco. russell brand for pm.xxxx

  • pretty cool docu

  • Live life damn it!! DO IT. This is the only chance you will get, don't think about your age or money, or what people will think, what an awful way to live. if you have'nt read that book your missing so much!!

  • I didnt think i would be able to peel my poor eyes away, and the words are still ringing in my ears. I, with a friend, was planning a roadtrip. just dropping everything and going, deal with all that nonsense when we get back! As i was watching this i phoned my mate(it's 3 in the mornin') and told her to watch it, and the nits we are we decided to do it, in two days we will be gone, now i'd say thats living in the moment. "The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules."

    So thanks!

  • just did the same thing. me and my buddy just planned a trip to travel across europe. im gonna be broke when i get back...lol

  • haha gd time will be worth it tho mate, wanna do it my self, except im used to being broke being at uni and what not lol

  • Rusell is amazing!

    Thanks for the upload

  • This was 1 of the best docs I've ever seen, loved every minute of it! Russell and Matt make one hell of a team and a foxy one at that.

  • Brilliant! Love Russell!

  • The music was brilliant.

It fit the scenes, fit the characters, and was just some amazing music.

  • yeah

  • nice one

  • I was hooked the entire time - thanks very much.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the upload and all. Quality programming! The American West is so beautiful, especially when it's edited into strings of 45 sec. panoramas. I thought that drab little bridge outside of Vallejo on the 80 was the Golden Gate the first time I went to SF too. And I had a friend there to smirk about it. What did Matt say "Abe Shit Bridge" or something. Ha. Anyway thanks for sharing.

  • gosh, concluding part is incredible!

  • Thanks a lot for uploading these vids, i missed it on TV but it was a very enlightning and inspiring programme...who's up for a cross-country america road trip? :D

  • Yeah go on then I'm in.

  • That was excellent, thank you miss fable

  • Thanks for uploading. I'm buying the book now! =D

  • Thank you for uploading these.

  • Brilliant, thank you for all of these.

    xx

  • I really liked that thingy, thanks 4 putting it on here coz I missed it on the telly.

    Russ and Matt are legends!

    This was brilliant! xx

  • that was amazing. in all of russell brand's work, i love how its so evident that he's learnt so much from his experiences, and not going back down a path of destruction.. and how he so freely expresses his beliefs; he's right, living everyday without fear or inhibition is the key to truly living your life. hope his work reaches out to people too blinded by their monotonous consumer driven lives or too drugged up to see whats important.

  • That was brilliant

  • WOW

  • living without fear and living out of love is truly what brings beauty to life and russell understands that. we need more mainstream stars like him.

  • Thanks for the uploads Miss Fable. Russ is set to become a legend and like Karouac he knows the score. No pun intended Russ, respect all the way for you. Just get rid of the white pants though eh? Matt's right as usual - they do look a bit like baby pants, lol

  • theres is a book?! fuck me i wanna read it! is this on dvd newhere?

  • This was so good

I just bought the book haha

i wanna get out there now!

    Cheers for uploading

    xx

  • many thanks to people like you who take up your own time to bring us all a little joy, nice one :)

  • wow, thanks for uploading these. I may go read the book now

  • BRAND!

  • Thanks for putting up these videos!

The way he describes how the journey is pretty deep and i agree with him

  • I <3 Matt Morgan & Russell Brand

  • oh yerr wheres the bit where russ drives?? on the salt thing?

  • that was really good. An eye opener... thnx for uploading xx

  • Thanks for uploading this.

I want to take a trip like this at some point, hopefully soon.

  • i'll come with ya.lol

  • me too.....

  • Oh, my comment was supposed to be a reply to what Modwolf was saying. I was wondering where the bit of Russell driving was too! Thanks again.

  • Thankyou! Xx

  • I think fear is a precursor of beauty, not to say its always the case. Truth be told all is paradox but I'm thankful someone like Russell is apart of mainstream media and for the main part shares the same views. I've always known the spiritual utopia that russell dreams of is just around the corner, one hell of a corner, but almost there. Thanks Missy!!!!!

  • i concur whole-heartedly ephemeralshine! not many mainstream people are thoughtful - and not many could say such inspiring things without being boring. He's one of the true beautiful people.

  • Thanks for this, but where's the bit where Russ has a go at driving the car?

  • That's what I wanna know too! Thanks for posting the show though, brillaint!

  • thank you ever so much for sharing!! i had no way of watching this when it'd aired, but i was so exited about watching this..! <33

  • thanks for this

  • fanks missfable i missed this and was propa well upset!!

  • May i just take the time to thank xMissFablex,

so ... thanks for uploading this!

But i feel by watching this ive seen a part of

Russell that you would never see in his Stand-Up

or Radio show. Before i only found Russell funny but now

ive been enlightened i find im sexy, attractive and

    alot more kind hearted ;)

.... Now i just carnt get enough of this kind of

    Russell Brand voodoo magic!

(In part 6 in his underwear eh... he looks so ... SEXY!)

  • thanks! i was sooo gutted when i missed it

  • we and indeed "i" whant to do something worthwile. "My" journey had been inhibited and prescribed. This guy is in my "view" way ahead of his time. We are all on our journey. Thats life and we are all living it. so live it. inspring stuff from a bloke living out his midlife crisis! ie me.

  • i loved it, russell put across a simple but powerful message. i actually would want to read the book now.

  • that was enlightening indeed

  • Fabulous! Thanks for sharing!!!! x

  • Thank you! I watched it all, was proper rad. Love Russ and Matt.

    XX

  • thanks 4 uploading all of these, they wer gr8 :D

    Thanks a billion!

    xx

  • that was brilliant =D

thanks so SO much for putting all these up =]

i think this was really good for matt cause he's so good on the radio show but not many people, even russell fans acknowledge him or are aware of how awsome he is

and of course russell is great too =P but that goes without saying really lol

    thanks again =]

  • loved it. Thanks for taking the time to upload this!
