I'd say the real thrill of playing sonic was being able to run faster than the speed of sound, and Sonic 2006 litterally stated on the cover "speed will not be enough". I don't care aout fancy robots or travelling through time, just let me be able to run fast. There were some parts where you were able to run extremely fast, but these levels didn't really let you "run" because of constant hard-to-pass obstacles due to unresponsive controls, and it really drained the experience. Awesome tribute!

I like how they made Eggman a lot more intimidating in this game than they did the others. Though a problem i've always had with Sonic games is that the Bosses are far too easy whilst some of the later levels are FAR to high in difficulty! A good example of this is the first sonic rivals game :(
