The one via Frankfurt is heading to JFK. Air Fare fr Singapore round trip for Economy is around USD 1700, Business Class around USD 6,000 and USD 12,000 for First Class. Make sure to make advance reservation, cos the flight is always full, especially during high season.

SQ is Top 5 Airlines in the World. Excellent Cabin either on F Class, Suite on A380, Business Class or even Economy. anyone travelling to Asia, should try it to experience the Asian hospitality. Emirates and Etihad are also nice from UAE. SQ fly with A380 fr Spore to Tokyo or Sydney or London or Los Angeles. To New York, there are two flights, one direct to Newark with A340-500 and the other one via Frankfurt with Boeing 747-400.

I'm surprised that they still used the old B744s for this route.... When will they ever change to the A380s or B773s for this sector? I've flown on their B744s and the seats were cramped as hell! Very little leg-room... At least their service was good though....

@bookieboy It's flown by an A340-500 now...non-stop 18 hr 40min flight.

@bookieboy The A380 will replaced the B747 next year, in the Spring I think. If you look it up, the equipment is now listed as A380 for JFK-FRA-JFK :)

SIA is constantly renewing its products to meet its customers' demand. The business class on this B747 is not that old , just because SIA, at present, has a new business class. With angled flat bed, AVOD and personal video screen, they still meet the expectations of the customer.

I hate that aircraft - the seats are so old! My biggest wish was to fly with the B777-300ER but apparently I have a flight in the evening so nope - I have to fly with the old business class
