@MetalProgLand Its called a Cup chime. Joey Jordison of Slipknot uses one too u can see it better there.

Its like a Bell just turned around and shaped like a china but they both sound quite familiar.

It's stupid to even compare the Rev and Portnoy... though one did influence the other, they both have different styles, and Portnoy even admitted that it was difficult for him to play some of the Rev's stuff (not to say that it was out of his range). I think if the Rev lived for another 15 years, he'd be just as good if not better than Portnoy. All other information aside, one drummer had a decade and a half of more experience than the other. They are (or were) both great drummers.

@Alfonsolml Nah, there's some tough ones when it comes to A7X. Obviously they don't hold up to Portnoy most of the time. A lot of fast stuff from their older albums and shit like that.

@themobianhat Its his 5.5x14 Melody Master Wood Snare Drum. He has 2; the other one being a 5x12 steel Melody Master Snare that is used on the right side of his kit. (Usually a smaller or experimental kit)
