i think john was actually kinda annoyed at the end and weirdly enough i can totally relate cuz one of my friends and i do musical stuff together and whenever she shows off a lot, it honestly ticks the heck out of me. it honestly is really hard to be supportive of a friend in a band when they take over the state completely

I can only assume it's because the joke was that Ringo was jealous that he didn't get enough vocal time. However, Ringo had limited vocal range and even had to practice a lot for the final note in Little Help from my Friends. Yesterday is a relatively easy song to sing and John was also hurt by McCartney's solo stuff and felt that it was breaking them up.
