Not just the names, but the pokémon you can obtain in each version. Some pokémon are seen in different places, different points of the game, and have different rarities. Some of the Pokémon are version exclusives, meaning they are only in that version.

That's how Nintendo would prolly answer, anyways. I'm getting SoulSilver cuz I can get groudon in that one :3

Another difference in the game is that in Heart Gold you catch Ho-Oh at level 45 and Lugia at 70 but you get to catch Ho-Oh first. It's the same thing in Soul Silver, just the other way around though

Yes, it seems that Nintendo decided to wait until roughly the 10th anniversary of the game. Here in the U.S. it's the 10th anniversary of Gold and Silver this year!

The opening theme sounded very chaotic at points. I like the remixed title screen theme, though. It's faster and more energetic than the original version.

Oh, and the opening video is cool. It's nice how it shows all different elements of the game.

anyone noticed that some parts of the vid the music go's with them, when you see the city's (you hear there theme), when you see the rival(you hear the rival tune) when you see the legendary beasts(you hear eusine theme) and when you see suicune (at the last part, you hear it's battle theme)

The Soulsilver version has the same intro just that Lugia swims underwater instead of flying.

Ever since I first played Silver, I always thought Lugia was flying over mountains during the night. I just recently found out it was swimming!
