Is this Netbook good for running Hl2, CSS, and Gmod smoothly? Does it have little, or no lag? WOuld you recommend this Netbook to people? What rating out of 10 do you give it?

Iv'e tried running tf2 but i failed badly :3 it seems to be possible, but i never wanted to do so because tf2 is not really relevent to me anymore :)

how does your OC effect your eeepc's battery life/temperature?

It really depends on the way you Overclock it.

You can do a 1.95Ghz With voltage change to the cpu and so the battery life will be 1-1.5 hours lower or you can do a 1.8Ghz Overclock without voltage change, so the Battery life will remain exactly the same.

I went with the 1.8Ghz Profile :) A tiny bit slower but a whole lot of battery power then 1.95Ghz.

I owned a compaq110c with N270 atom processor and 1GB ram with 950GMA gpu!

and I say yes! you cant play games on a netbook! counter strike 1.6 and the first half-life game! all on low as possible and still lags as f*** even with the useless GMAbooster! gladly the netbook was sold and bought the asus 1201N! soon will upload a gmod test video and will response on yours :)

mine works as well as yours, but i dont have any HUD, i googled and tried everything (reskin, config, resoluution, reinstalling, console stuff...) anyone know how to fix this?

@ELRingoFa Have you tried typing: -dxlevel 70 -high -heapsize 524288 -w 1024 -h 600 on the lunch options of garrys mod? (the heapsize can be twice as high if you have 2GB RAM)

this usualy solves the problme, but like on my 1000he, if you open up the "q" menu it will be coverd and sliced till you restart

@thepigboystudios First of all i overckocked my CPU with SetFSB to 1.95Ghz (requires enabling MAXCPUID in the BIOS and turn the power plan to "Always On")

I used eeectl so the program will control the fan speed

then i used GMABooster to OC my GMA950 Video Card from 166Mhz to 400Mhz.

i typed -dxlevel 70 -high -heapsize 524288 -w 1024 -h 600 on the lunch options of garrys mod (the heapsize can be twice as high if you have 2GB RAM)

and thats it! it works :)
