In my opinion, Bale acts like Bruce is an ego centric jerk. Which is by far not what the original Batman comics were about. Bruce was a good guy, very reserved person, who just happens to be rich. I don't think that they will do Batman justice until they make a movie where Batman is like the animated series of the 1990's. Now those my friends, where a masterpiece.

You do know this is an act right? You do not this is not how he really is right? Bale does play him as a reserved and very good man who happens to be rich. This is a cover. And even in the animated series he would act like the shallow cliche richboy to hide the real hero inside. Maybe you should watch those cartoons again, or maybe that scene in Mask of the Phantasm where the woman throws a drink in his face for not calling her back. This IS how Bruce is supposed to be in public.

@JamieHowitt It's incredibly brave and disciplined of him to do that, too. I think Batman goes farther than a lot of other heroes to keep his identity secret. In some interpretations, Bruce even goes so far as to pretend to be an alcoholic, and he would rather get put into a hostage situation or even risk his death than show his true skills in public without being disguised as Batman. He considers the possibility of blowing his cover to be worse than any injury he could suffer as Bruce Wayne.
