  • Strengths:

    1) Spending power

    2) Creative (look at our music and the way we dress, our hairstyles. the way we talk, our food, etc)

    3) Undying spirit as a people (We have been through hell, and we're still here.)

  • @WolfbeignGarvey

    Excellent comment.

  • thanx for this I have my kids home schooled so I have 2 that want to do science.

  • @supermike2164

    Very good.

  • How do you reconcile what you say with the fundamental American principle:

    All men are created equal.

    Or do you?

  • You don't need to reconcile it.

  • It sounds to me like the premise of the video is that blacks are different than whites.

To me, it is the antithesis of what it means to be an American.

  • If you are referring to the difference in the intensity and length of suffering, yes, they are different.

  • Being American does not trump the first law of nature which is self preservation. African peoples of America have faced huge obstacles and still do. Their collective self-interest is beneficial to America, so long as certain entities of white America abide by the laws and bring restitution when it is shown they have or are not.

It is very serious when we face scenarios where 40% of HIV/AIDS cases in USA are among African Americans.

  • "Being American does not trump the first law of nature which is self preservation."

    You lost me there.

I believe all men are created equal and should be treated with equality.

The reference to aids rates among african americans is a public health issue.

  • Few would debate the loyalty of African Americans, in general, as relates to America. However, their wellbeing is tantamount.

HIV/AIDS is a health problem but it is so much more than that in the black community and directly relates to racial ideology that was so prevalent in the past. It is man-made and within the next few years all people will acknowledge this. This is why it is so good to have blacks in US Senate so 1969-70 doesn't ever happen again.

  • "Few would debate the loyalty of African Americans. . ."

If I gave that impression, I certainly did not mean to. Many of my closest personal friends are black, and I love them like brothers and sisters.

It is the idea that "they" are somehow different than me.

I don't understand why aids is involved. It is a public health issue our community must face and understand why it happens. Oftentimes, it seems "race related" phenomenon are ignored out of political correctness.

  • No, that was not the impression you gave me. Your questions are the same other casual readers would like to ask.

You're correct, there are various reasons why issues such as HIV/AIDS rate among blacks throughout the world are ignored, even among blacks. That must change now. It is far past time that the US government came clean about what it commissioned in 1970 to deal with the "negro".

  • Fantastic video brother. Thank you very much for uploading and please upload more of this ilk.

  • excellent video, more should see this & pay heed. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Thank you of Yorubaland.

  • 3:53 ok, the rappers also...the films.. but really I just dont think its that easy, really I aint sure but wwhat about africans themselves? common look at nigeria with crudeoil, ghana, kenya with resources, they earn lots of4:50 money but have they used it on us?

Ohh UN donate money to africa lots of time since the 1900s, has africa developed? lol u all right, but africa doesnt need food, we have agriculture, we need machineries, literacy...not food, money it doesnt help!

  • Some Africans after coming to the US are reaching back and doing what they need to do with Africa, many can do far better. For example, Kase Loyal of Nigeria who lives in Houston is the wealthiest and employs the largest number of employees in the USA of all blacks.

Nigeria and others have not done their best and nor have we. Let's stop looking at excuses and get together and do it.

Congress voted to apologize for slavery recently. There is a hidden reason.

  • what do you think the hidden reason is?

  • Corporate America wants to leverage Obama and the African Americans with the battle for Africa's resources. They must first remove certain longstanding grievances with African Americans.

  • Yes, Africa has developed and much more remains to be done. Also, realize that much of Africa has been crippled with planned diseases. This is the subject many would like to avoid but I will not allow that.

Africa requires more fair trade, not aid.

Capital in machinery and education are things that we can do but it requires you and I CONNECTING beyond this blog and doing it.

  • hmm, thats righT! thats what am trying to say, we all can spend our money other things, worrying about things which doesnt concern us yet we in trouble.

    Would u believe?

  • This is what the Sixth Region Diasporan Caucus is all about. We must focus on interdependence in order to move forward.

Those things that take wealth out of our hands concern us. This includes US dollars being wasted on wars for someone else's agenda. Even more important is what we are doing with the money we control as individuals.

  • excellent vid, as an economist you're on point and only the willfully blinded will refuse to see....

    Hotep

  • Thank you my friend.

    Hotep

  • great video its true Africa has every resource you could ask for but so far its been exploited by these white pirates and it is also a huge market waiting to have its needs met by African American in partnership with African businessmen it will not only enrich themselves but it will also enrich African people and develop it infrastructure is win win situation and a strategic historic black partnership

  • Thank you!

  • Billions and billions already waisted for many many year given to Africa

Give us a break "T". Drop your hate.

  • Far more billions have been stolen by foreign entities. I know you would like sole focus on some African leaders of the past and a small few who remain who have stolen money, however, there most be a more complete focus.

The "hate" that you refer to, please state exactly what is. Can you do it? If not, why do you state it?
