i'm afraid i didn't stay in a hotel.

i was only in alexanderia for a day as i was on holiday with a cruise line.

but friends of mine have visited the country. and i have heard great reviews from 'Radisson Blu Hotel' and 'Sheraton Hotel Montazah'

i don't believe they are too expensive for a 5 star hotel.

but there are plenty of hotels out there to suit all.

i hope have a wonderful trip :)

i was in alexandria two years ago.

personally, i found it absolutely terrifying.

very chaotic.

but, the people were actually quite nice. at the time, i thought they were going to kill me. one person followed me for a mile.

but the women helped me across the road safely (which i found extremely hard to do)

my family didn't help. they were panicking like mad. and i can't say i wasn't either.

but..it's definitely an experience i will never forget.

all that glitters are not gold. been to alex..nothing to be crazy about..garbage on the street..smelly shopping place and dirty restaurants,people are not clean..'ve seen it all..it's nothing but the art work of camera..thanx to technology

Well be lucky that you have the luxery of not living in a place that is full of poverty. It's a third world country what did you think you would find? The people are the kindest people you can find in the world, give you the shirt off of their back. Alex is a beautiful place.

umm, yes, its a city that is thousands of years old, get a grip...have you been to detroit? lol, typical ignorant unappreciative of anything person you are!! Plus there are many nice & clean places & high class restaurants & hotels, ect..you must have just gone to the places your used to going in your own country, the low class places.. ;)
