@idlh Yes, that's pretty much right, I think. Sometimes the line between the two can be grey depending on the style of the vocal percussionist or beatboxer but for the most part, that's a good distinction. However, I might also say that although vpist tend to use less sounds than beatboxers, they often have to be able to pull off a number of styles with their sounds, which can be challenging. Of course, those crazy beatbox soundfx are challenging too, so both are a great, fun art.

so what seperates beatboxers from vocal percussionists is that vocal percussionists just do drums and have no sound effects? like faith sfx
