  • Didn't help me since my partitions aren't contiguous, but nice beat.

  • spent time to try find a bit of freeware to do this lol.. nice to see this built in

  • Comment removed

  • thank you... :)

  • @REA00002 :(

  • I can't extend the partition ?? :O help

  • Thanks.

  • /kiss

  • thank u!!!!

  • This is too fast.

  • Superb. Took less than a minute.

  • Thank you

  • @KkF00 When I did this, it said "Free space" and not "unallocated". So I right clicked, and chose "Delete" again (on the Free Space) and it became unallocated, and I was able to extend

  • thanx dude

  • nice....thanks

  • Will this delete my savings on the other disk

    please reply

  • @TheMareMax yes

  • Worked at treat, thank you very much!

  • erm i cant delete my d drive or do anything with it but shrink it ...

  • exactly what i needed great job!

  • Awesome thanks, very helpful. I couldn't figure out how to do it so thanks loads.

  • Sick! Thanks!

  • Thanks body

  • Done in less than 2 minutes. Bitch tech guy wanted to charge me $80. FUCK YOU

  • Does this work with six drives. I don't want to risk the data on the one I have it on.

  • how come their both in disk 0? mine are seperated into disk 0 and 1 making me unable to combine them, is their a solution?

  • @mikesta2 No, that means you have two separate hard drives in your computer.

  • @TheShiromikan Thanks for the reply, I realized this after many failures of trying to merge the two

  • It takes literally a minute to do this, yet some people will charge you money for a program that is identical to default Windows.

The 18 dislikes must be people who make this shitty software.

  • The song made it way more interesting

  • Thanks man, but seriously whats the song??

  • @KkF00 Hi, I fixed my external hard drive by backing up the data first then.

    1. Format all the partitions on that hard drive to NTFS

    2. Delete the partitions from right to left (leaving one)

    3. Then click Extend Volume & follow the steps

    4. Like this if it worked :)

  • quick, excellent , thanks!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOO TY so much, this worked for me. My D drive had more than my C drive on my new laptop, I'm like wtf!?

For those of you still confused, remember right click "Computer" when you click the Start menu with all the programs like at 0:18, click Manage, click Disk Management (under "Storage"), right click the partition you don't want, Delete, if it is not Unallocated delete it again, right click C, click EXTEND, keep going and click finish and WOOOO MORE SPACE!!

  • @Sheasha100 that's wut i'm sayin. idk y mines wont allow me to extend the c drive space to the freespace.

  • @kaydub403 did it turn green? if so right click and delete the partition and then extend the C drive

  • Thanks

  • thank you very much!!!!

  • i...love...you...no homo though

  • thanks alot

  • Thank you very much!!!

  • y does mine become 'free space'?

  • You're the F-man, worked like a charm.

  • Thanks man. This video solved my problem in a minute

  • Thanks alot man !

  • Could do without the shit music.

  • @dansak1234 Piss off, metal head...

@Mustafacc0 Would you mind telling me the song name, please?

    Great guide, btw! :D

  • Thank you very much, helped a lot!!

  • awesome! Worked like a charm! Thank you!

  • THE BEST WAY TO create/delete/merge partition in windows7/Vista/XP IS EASEUS Partition Master 9.0.0 Home Edition ;)

  • Thank You bro! You Are Awesome :D

  • Yes Delete the greened out "free space" and it becomes black unallocated. After that you can merge. I tried just now and it worked.

  • song ?

  • tq broooo~

    love it~

  • I wouldn't consider this a merge since you're deleting the second partition.

  • thank you

  • فديتك حبيب قلبي

    ونبقة احنة العراقين عباقرة

    Viva Iraq!

  • extend partion for me is greyed out. i've got 10GB unallocated

  • the begining of the video is a weirdie o_O

  • @0oDarkLordRevano0 why is that?

  • @SpammyVidz just the backwards-sounding music :P

  • cool, this was helpful, disk management has many options for your drives and partitions but they dont exactly tell you what they do, I didn't want to erase a TB of data by mistake lol

  • Thanks!

  • So complicated! just employ a third-party partition software, Partition Wizard, which covers a Merge Partition function to help those who don't even have professional computer knowledge.

  • @Aimar04101 How's that complicated? it's a direct easy steps even a 10 year old child with no knowledge of computers can follow just by watching, i would prefer this rather than paying for software witch probably be a scam and containing keyloggers and viruses.

  • i cant click extend what to doo?

  • Thanks.

  • My computer only 150GB on it and they were divided into two groups and both had only 66.5 GB. THANKS!

  • HOLY FRICK THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!1

  • Thanks Very Much!!!!!

  • thanks a lot!

  • Thank you so much, this video is excellent!!! my c drive was using only 60gb out of 300gb. I was able to expand my c drive so that i was making full use of all the memory available on my computer.

  • thanks man

  • ive don everything in the video but it dont let me extend the c volume... so now what ?

  • @DUBSLIM yea me too, it's greyed out

    Thanks man, really good tut

  • i have one drive split into two partitions and one has wimdows xp on it d drive with 127gb and i use the other that has windows 7 which is on the c drive that has only 20gb i try and delete the d drive but it does not allow me so for it had a file called i386 please help

  • Thank you soooooo much! you saved me 253 GB!

  • wtf i dont have those fuckiing options so i dont get it

  • subscribing

  • you sir are a genius you saved me 75$ Acer wanted that much for them to combine my hard-drives! after they split it up for me -_- after deleting both drives i went back to disc management extend volume wasn't highlighted after watching this video i knew i had to delete the hard-drive with the most memory than i extended it thank you so much! million thanks :)

  • Is it possible to merge partitions without removing the data from one of them? Or do I need to completely reinstall windows? I have a 40gb partition dedicated for Windows, but it got clogged up by other stuff because it is the main drive(C). I have a lot more space left in the other partitions, so I was trying to merge them. Windows also doesn't allow me to increase the size of C, it's as if it's limited to 40GB. Btw, this partition was selected during the build from Dell.

  • Hi i got a problem, i realized that my two partition disk aren't on the same disk, in disk management D drive is in disk 0 and C drive is in disk 1 is there still no way to merge them together?

  • @XDoughnutzX thats becoz u clicked on delete volume u shouldve clicked on delete partition... try to click on delete partition now and hope it works well for u

  • Thank you

  • To the ones having trouble with this, maybe you just forgot to Delete the "new partition" again? So the data becomes "unallocated". I did, so I was wondering "Wtf I now have all this gig I cannot use without making a new one?". Just right click on the "greyed or greened out" area and delete partition, dont worry, your gigas wont disappear into cyberspace ;)

  • Absolute legend for this. Just had a new hard dirve put in my laptop and the tech had given me no space on the C drive and a huge empty and useless D drive. Now I have one big lovely C drive

  • @XDoughnutzX same as me :S

  • Comment removed

  • When I try to delete a partion without any data on it, a message pops up. I choose to continue, but the field wont turn black (unallocated)

  • I can't remove my partitions, how to do this?

( THEY HAVE DATA IN IT )

  • @xZiiFt move the data from the partition you want to delete to the other, or to any portable device

  • thanks man for this toturial

  • To all the people talking about their extend option being "Greyed out" on the C drive, what I did was delete the volume and it became a green bar called "free space", then you have to right click the "free space" and it will say "delete partition". Once you do this it will become "unallocated" and you can extend the C from there. This was on Windows 7, good luck and hope this helps some of you.

  • thx man, you saved my day

  • nvr mind again...i deleted the volume of the partition that was on the same drive as my c drive and the extend volume option is still grayed out

  • Am trying to merge my 3.5" HDD with 4 separate partitions. Followed your steps but windows warned me:

The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk to dynamic disk. If you convert the disk to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operating systems from any volume on the disk (except the current boot volume). Are you sure you want to continue? After I choose Yes, Logical Disk Manager answer:

The dynamic disks are not supported by this operating system. Please advise.
