I grew up with the guy who owns this place. He was one of my parents best friends. Fred Keating is a great man with a huge heart. Most of these animals are wolf/dog hybrids abandoned by people who no longer wanted them as pets. They are now well loved and cared for and very safe and happy.....
Loki Clan is a truly amazing place. I volunteered there for a long weekend last summer... it is truly an amazing place. The wolf-dogs are happy, and Mr. Keating (the man who runs it) is a truly amazing man. If anyone has the ability to donate either their time or money, it is a VERY good cause, and one that has a very direct impact on some amazing animals.
Wolves are amazing animals! They are very brilliant and they have feelings just like we do!...be kind to all God's creatures and less disasters we face in this life!
He is so lucky to be working with one of the most smartest most beautiful animals in the world! Support goes to him for saving these incredible creatures!
Creating wolfdogs should be illegal, imo. I really don't like the thought at all. It's like... yeah, I dunno. Dogs are dogs and wolves are wolves, there shouldn't be anything more to it. Even tho dogs were wolves from the very beginning, I still think it's wrong.
Not too keen on caged wolves, but I look on these places as wolf arks, one day, when the naked ape finally makes itself extinct, they can repopulate the planet and take their rightful place in the ecosystem again. It seems a lot of Americans keep wolves in tiny enclosures though, they should at the very least have a range of a few miles minimum, otherwise they're exhibits in a zoo.
Ah, suspected that many of the wolf hating idiots were also creationist throwbacks, bet you dispute global warming as well, from the heights of your scientific knowledge. Listen monkey, evolution isn't a theory, it's proven fact, it's all around to witness, and the only ones who deny it are the least evolved simpletons who somehow got the idea they are superior to all other species. Go on dreaming, you'll die out soon, survival of the fittest will see to that. You just don't understand evolution
Ok tips and pointers to anyone who reads this; 1) these are wolfdogs not full wolves, they were bred with dogs and wolves and bought as pets. many were abandoned some left to die. 2) they are all fixed and each small pack consists up to and average of 4 wolfdogs. 3) considering how small the pack is they each get an acre on the 50 acre land the man owns. I hope this clears some things up and if you don't like the small areas donate and I'll talk to the guys. :)
It might be a good video if the people were able to interact with them rather than poking fingers through a fence. All I see is animals lacking hands on attention. These aren't Wolves, they are low to mid content Wolf dogs, one looks high content. The white one isn't a Wolf Dog at all.
@1PAcouchpotato wolfdogs are not hybrids actually. The dog is a subspecies of a wolf so breeding a wolf and a dog is like breeding a dog and a dog, you don't call mutts hybrids do you? Plus if it was a true hybrid, the offspring would be sterile. True hybrids like ligers and mules are sterile because of the DNA difference, and because around 98% of wolf and dog DNA are the same, they produce healthy fertile offspring. Don't get me wrong here, I am all out AGAINST wolfdog breeding.
The slender grey and white wolf was once a part of my family.I miss you everyday shane, he was a poor wolf my family found in the everglades. For a whole year you were the best freind of my life and im glad to see your still the star. love ya Shane.
I love this video. I'm glad they treat wolves with love and care. Some people just don't realize all the stories about wolves are false. Shy, beautiful, energetic, loving, loyal. Some people just can't let a good thing live.
looking at their sizes i'd say they were caught in the wild while they were still pups. Their parents probably died, got to sick to care for them, or just abandond them.

some of my favorite animals...They're so beautifull. It saddens me how ready humans are to hunt and kill them. Thanks for posting this.

How do you know were going to make ourselves extinct? And besides evolution? Really? A myth is what that is.
