Good video! Try mounting the V1 vertically rather than horizontally - it generally gives WAY better detection at greater distances. So it probably would have detected the van from the slip road itself. It's something to do with how radar waves pulsate and how the V1 is calibrated. You can get the vertical suction mounts from eBay. I believe the seller is in Poland.
Try out Trapster guys free speed trap software for your phone and Sat Nav's that's if you don't want any speeding tickets stop giving money to the government. There just money grabber's!
@forgewire Never tried it maye, but remember the K band tests you see in the US have no reflection on the vans, they are seriously low powered. Get yourself a cheetah sentinel from kmph.co.uk if you need good performance on a budget (I'm told the K band pickup on the sentinel is equal to if not better then the V1!)
I used Cobra in the early 2000's when RADAR was more extensively used. Cobra was ok. I now have the Valentine V1. Usually other cars will flash you so you know theres a speed trap up ahead.
@forgewire It might detect it but i'd avoid it to be honest..Laser will need a diffuser like the Laser Interceptor or Laser Pro Park (Avoid the Snooper Laser Star at all costs) ..For the vans I'd recommend either a cheetah sentinel (stealth unit mounted in grill of car) or a Valentine V1, these vans are using seriouslly low powered RADAR
Yeah I know that now at the time the MultaRadar had just come out but wasn't too sure!!. It would be possible to install a MultaRadar in pretty much any vehicle

Cool. Would you recommend Snooper 3ZERO to use in Ireland?

I am lost here - are you saying that the van in the above clip was operating mobile Gatso enforcement?
Where is the camera and radar set up in the picture? It cannot operate from inside a vehicle it is only type approved to be rear facing.

The RADAR gear is inside the van. It is approved in Ireland AND the UK as well as well as the Multanova C which is front facing as well :(

MultaRadar C is just Radar, right? They use Lidar (the Laser gun) anytime they conduct the mobile speed traps in their cars/motorbikes.

MultaRadar C is K-Band RADAR buy VERY low horizontal polarization RADAR so unless you've a decent Radar detectr your screwed!
Mobile are mostly LIDAR but the new ANPR cars have VASCAR video onboard as far as I know.

@eire05jamtests Snooper 3ZERO would detect Multanova - StarLaserRedflex - Lasercam, Lasercam NT. No worries
