First of all, He failed it in 1997. Secondly, that is a test of knowledge of certain facts. It doesnt test intelligence. It test education. Further more, What year did you pass the bar?

he couldnt' pass the bar b/c he was trying to run a congressional campaign while also studying for the bar exam -- most people studying for the bar need to take at least 3-4 months to concentrate solely on studying. He didn't have that luxury

I want to add why I have respect for this person... He's a maverick; He isn't an android of his party. A McCain of the Democratic party if you will. He votes for what he thinks is right. Very intelligent, very well informed, very humble, and very truthful. Unfortunately I believe he has the wrong approach to many issues and policies.
