  • Love the video (I've worked at two of the sanctuaries you mentioned). Awareness is so important, keep up the good work

  • chimps inc. has proved to be a good home for retired chimpanzees, in Bend, OR

  • that was a good video, did a really good job on the narraration.

  • when I was a kid I hated 3 types of animal:

mosquitoes- I am now indifferent to them.

    Horses- I still hate them.

Monkeys- I like them now, I don't know why I hated them, they are cool.

  • at 0:29 start playing guitar

  • To counter your first assumption, I am not a male. Secondly, I do not necessarily hate myself, I have only realized that human beings are not the marvelous beings we assert ourselves to be.

  • among all primates, i found baboons to be the most funniest. them and their antics, hilarious little creatures.

  • @vasant85 Female baboons throw their infants at predators to get away, male baboons kill the young ones so the famles mate with him. They alway fight and kill each other and anything else they can. Anyone who has worked woth them and monkeys hate them as much as I do, if their honest. Real funny creatures. I have 5 troops and I find them dead all the time, except they eat the babies most the time, and they have plenty of food and water too. Just nasty animals.

  • Almost hypnotic to watch. See raymondobe.wordpress.

I'm a Chimp Get me Out of Here-: 'Bret first began sleeping with the apes when he was fifteen years old....

  • It's strange how primates evolved into an inferior species (humans), instead of becoming more advanced.

  • your stupid.

  • I beg to differ.

  • another lost strongly biased fool that thinks our species is in some way better yes were smarter wat has it shown a smarter faster quicker nastier more grotesque way to kill other species and Dumbest of all ourselves! wat have we done that helps the welfare or our future children? wat?polluted the place?uuuh yup EVolved the basic killing methods.all the mass majority of our leaders do is nothing that helps look at the planet open ur narrow minded self-indulging heart we are INFERIOR!!

  • the bible says yes we'll tame all the beasts that creepeth the earth but the bible also tells every1 that doesnt discern it's truths thoroughly will fair badly like wear it says to not become like the mighty yet foolish hunter nimrod and kill animals he was a HUNTER GOD said kill animals for two things food and clothing thats it...and if all you do is listen where he says were supreme to animals then wow ur not supreme at ALL...

  • If the primates were "more advanced" they would ultimetely have a similar fate to the Neanderthal.. Unfortunetely we humans kill those that are competition to us... primates are not our competition and we don't fight over our food sources do we....

  • was a reply to "Jasumi" ..

  • Yes, but every animal on this planet has a niche, aside from human beings. We do not serve an immediate purpose, and this leads to confusion, chaos, and ultimately violence. No other species on Earth suffers from this inner conflict.

  • ahh ants do

    only other creture that does

  • @Jasumi Humans also insist on creating broad ideologies based on nothing, like you're doing now. Just because every living animal survives in their environments doesn't mean they have a "purpose" or "niche" to fill. Every animal alters its environment to survive, humans just do so much more than the others.

  • However, this assertion of yours does not retract my personal feeling that humans are a blight on the Universe, and never should have been created.

  • Love this video and the wonderful primates that inhabit this planet. It is too bad that they are persecuted and killed for meat.

  • boo hoo

  • Could you teach me how to make the video look like that? My video is always blurry and I feel like I'm not uploading it right.

  • actually this one came out not so good. But I guess, just make sure there is a lot of light, and i use a basic setting. I have tried the highest quality settings and when shrunken by You Tube's program, they often look worse.

  • Interesting footage! :)

  • hey briczar are all monkeys/ primates meat eaters apart from orangs i cant think of one?i mean like all of them have canines unlike orangs.

  • Most would eat worms/insects etc.. I think gorillas are pure veggies, both other than them and orangs..i think (i am not a primate expert by any means) they all eat meat in one form or another.

  • Thanks for sharing. YouTube videos of people feeding wild animals drive me crazy! There are many good reasons for not feeding wildlife, especially wildlife that is being 'visited'.

  • By looking at you tube videos you can find many people feeding animals (both wild and at zoos) and people getting way too close, and also abuse. It is sad. I hope people will learn it is best for the animals and for us to respect wildlife. As for these monkeys i am sure it is done for the cuteness factor, but getting bitten or having the locals or workers at the lodge have to kill them because they get too close isn't cute.

  • this is a neat video! and hey, about that contest you announced a month earlier, is there still time to make a video for it?

  • wild animals should never be kept as pets. especially primates. they stick to their mother's body until they are juvenile (4~7 yrs old which is already too strong for humans to handle) , so the only way to isolate them when they are young is to kill the mother and ply off the young grabbing onto the corpse. They also have very long lifespan.

Primates are also exported and shipped illegally in a very inhumane condition and it's known that only 1 in 4 survive to reach the "buyer."

  • Both are awesome.

  • Monkeys are our closest relatices in the evolution tree.

  • Brizcar22: You stated in the 'more info' section that "PRIMATES ARE NOT PETS."

Well, I beg to differ. Certain primates make wonderful pets. The smarter ones can be trained to fix cars, do plumbing, cut grass, even bring home a paycheck.

Right now, my primate is washing the dog. (I'm cruising youtube). Now, if only I could get him to clean litter boxes . . . .(;^)

  • sems like you have trained your husband well :)

i love cats..but cleaning the cat box is one of my most hated activites.

  • great video thanx for sharing briczar

  • monkeys are my favorit animals this is so cool the best video ever!

    nice!

    Mountchilliad

  • so so lovely, they remind me of the Mokeyking

  • I really like monkeys! Which are the ones that you can learn like 20 words or something like they communicate with each other

  • I love monkey's ^__^ there so nice =D

  • I love it!

  • Great video and good info, 5 *****

  • Thanks for sharing your footage. 5 stars!

  • awsome work bro, keep it up =]

  • I wish people would learn they can't domesticize a wild animal. It's a shame it's so hard to get this through to people. Wild animals belong in the wild or in a sanctuary. Thanks for the video, Briczar.

  • very intresting.

    very good video briczar22 .

    keep up the good work.

  • thanks..i wish the quality of the video would have uploaded better..but what can ya do.

    Thanks for watching!

  • If monkeys & humans are like suppose to be 99% the same or sumthing. then how come monkeys write & learn like us.

& how come the the monkeys we have now don't turn into humans. if you wanna talk bout evolution

  • Primates share 99% of the genetic code with humans but the size of the brain differs they learn to imitate just like kids learn from imitating grown-ups.

Humans are not directly related with primates. We didn't evolved from monkeys. Humans and primates had a common ancestor from which they evolved separately. We are different species and you will never have a monkey turn into human because it's just like turning a crocodile into a alligator.

  • Thank you very much for that info. I have found some reports saying 95% genetic make up is the same as ours to 98%..either way it is close and just like humans they can show a range of emotions from being happy to obviously being very aggresive.
