Get A better mixer since u have the Serato Soundcard Buy The Rane TTM56 Its the same as the TTM57SL But without the sound card SO INVEST INVEST INVEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
vinyl rules! dont be fooled by cheap imitations. there are smart geeks out there trying ll their lives to make sound similar to vinyl and only REAL dj's can hear the difference. go with a pair of vestax pdx-3000's and serato scratch live with a vestax mixer of your choice(any one will do) hook up mac-book-pro and seraro and watch your money grow, grow, grow! as far as vinyl selling out they make the digital test press for the serato live so u can program ANY song to the same 2 vinyl records.
i wouldn't say only real dj's hear the difference. I run my vinyls and mk3's through my djm 800 and I gotta say they both take some serious skills. repect to any dj out there
I need a DJ prog to have a GUI like Cubase, Pro Tools or Audition. i.e. a stacked horizontal timeline. As a DJ, i need to be able to simultaneously see as MANY tracks from my list as possible, in order, as AUDIO. Drag & drop them where you like. Set gradual BPM & EQ changes, at any point. Layer multiple tracks over the other, if i wish. Scratch Live does the basics. MixMeister Pro was nearly right. What else is there? Thanks in advance :)
To me it comes down to efficiency. You can get more down with cds or in this case the serato set up. Less to carry around, easier to compile a set list. Now if you're hardcore into turntablism then yeah you must go vinyl. But I bet girl dancing in the club won't know the difference nor will she care.
Vinyl is becoming harder to find, record labels are moving to the internet to sell their product. They will just see they can make more on the large buying of a single mp3 than making a vinyl and few DJs buying that.
Dj´s who use CD´s are good... But Dj´s who use Vinyl´s are BETTER!!! OLD SCHOOL RULES.
(sorry my english is not as good as yours)
I play with CD´s and Vinyl´s, but I love to scratch, and it´s not the same to do with this CDJ´s... they sound different. any way LET´S KEEP THE VINYL ALIVE!!!
of course..but i think vinyl sounds better...i know its expensive and that stuff..but the feeling its nice some people say that vinyl is gonna disappear...i dont think that..there are a lot of dj using vinyl

You say vinyl rules because it sounds better, then you recommend serato? Isn't that kind of contradicting yourself?

the girls dancing dont know or care what the dj is using and long as she spins the tracks that keep them dancing. lol.
CD and Softwear are the way of the future and most old school dj's need to come to turms with it.
