The CONS - of this device is that when your battery on an Ipod dies and you still wanna continue listening to music throught your earphones, you cannot use your earphones anymore and you have to unlpug the Earphones, once you plug this battery backup in to your ipod because the battery backup is big and it plugs into same spot where your syncing cable plugs in. which is next to the Earphone connection plug.

and I am reffering to an IPOD nano and Touch.

Lol, what if you got two of these batteries or more, and charged battery no.1 that's connected to battery no.2, that's connected to your iphone/itouch!. So it would be like a triple charger? (main power source-Ipod usb cable then to bat #1, then bat #2 then so on..) I wonder what would happen? Any comments on this?

monoprice has been having a problem with this battery recently. it barely charges the iphone. i got mine in feb and it had this problem. they sent me a new one this week and it had the same problem. the reviews on their website have mentioned this as well and so have members of macforum. buyer beware!

For some reason when I plug this into my iPod Touch, the blue indicator lights come on but the iPod does not charge. The iPod even died with it plugged in. Please help?

Also can you keep this battery pluged in your car at all times so it always has a charge and not have to worry about damaging the battery being that it will be pluged in at all times?

I have a port in my car center console with a charger inside and would like to keep it always pluged in incase of emergency while sitting in the armrest console?

battery - excellent accessory for the price. I agree the connection could be better but then it probably wouldn't have the flexibility with different case thicknesses. Industrial design is very early 80s.

Yeah, the connection wasn't really a complaint as much as noting a potential to damage the dock connector. Probably the only way to really address this would be to latch it on to the case or phone, and that doesn't seem very practical without a custom case-battery design. Thanks

No, no AA batteries. It's a rechargeable lithium ion battery.

In the video I show how it hook it up to an iPhone charger at the bottom, then the top plug into the device.
