I tried one of their no pull harnesses which did nothing more than make him wheeze and gasp, then someone told me they work by squeezing the rib cage till the lungs hurt and its the pain from that thats supposed to stop them pulling, never again for my dog.

@mikela091 It's all about the training, very training 'tools' will just work, the no-pull harness, the halti head collar, the check chain, even just the flat collar, they all perform a function, but you still need to train your dog to respond to it. Whoever told you it was supposed to squeeze until the lungs hurt is insane.
