Oh for sure. My Dad owned it for 3 years before we experienced some tough times. I was told it could reach speeds of 125mph, could have been exaggerated, but that thing was INSANELY fast. Used to race it at Willow Springs raceway in Lancaster, Ca. Some of my best times!
It can go 125 but that's like on road racing courses not kart tracks. Fastest i've seen on kart track was 113 mph someone had a speedometer at one of the races.
got the frame from a friend for $50 (was in a crash so not really race quality, bit tweaked, but came with a free seat and steering wheel and shaft, and fuel tank).
motor was $100 its old.. and ebay actually worked for me for the other parts, like a $50 50mm rear axle..
custom built motor mounts and other parts.
free used tires from a good friend at the local indoor karting place.
Alright this kart has a lot of torque, you can launch it in any gear, and geared to stay below 50mph. it has a full USA legal catalytic converter on it with the stock intake, WHY because it is quite enough to drive on my own street with out the cops coming to arrest me.
